Andreja Pejic recently became the first transgender model to land a beauty campaign with Makeup For Ever, which is a huge milestone.

The 23-year-old now appears in the full commercial for the brand alongside fellow spokesmodel Jamie Chung.
The model also talks about what it means for her to be featured so prominently in the campaign:
"It means pushing boundaries in a positive way…it's a project that promotes individuality."

While the possibility of Caitlyn Jenner becoming the face of MAC is still up in the air, transgender model Andreja Pejic has just landed a contract with Makeup Forever!

She's the first transgender model to get a beauty campaign!
And her ads are going to make you want to buy A LOT of makeup!!!
So far three photos have been released — one features a classic red lip and long lashes (above), another consists of a dramatic smokey eye and orange lip, and the third is a soft pastel look with pale lips and lavender eye shadow.
The model posted a shot of herself at the campaign reveal on Instagram:
Androgynous model Andrej Pejic has revealed that she underwent sexual reassignment surgery (SRS) earlier this year and is now a transgender woman. She's also changed her first name to Andreja.
Though she has modeled for men's and women's clothing in the past, from now on she will be solely modeling womenswear.
The 22-year-old recently discussed this major step in her life, explaining how she knew early in her youth that she identified as female. She said:

The fashion world seems to be progressing in leaps and bounds lately!
While Barneys New York landed upon 17 transgender models for their spring campaign, MCM is taking a similar — yet entirely different — route.
They, too, are embracing the concept of diversity. But instead of using trans models, they chose a well-known androgynous model: Andrej Pejic!
MCM explained on their site why the choice made sense in the context of their Spring/Summer 2014 line, saying:
