Now this is the way to spend an eight-month anniversary of your bone marrow transplant victory — a standing ovation while accepting an award on behalf of your ABC program at the 72nd annual George Foster Peabody Awards at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City!

When she took the stage to accept the award, she said this:

Jessica Alba combined sex appeal and class at the Champion for Children Award Ceremony in Greenwich, Connecticut on Monday.

The night's honoree, who was recognized for her work promoting healthy living for children and families, looked impeccable in a black Fendi dress with sheer illusion panels and leather obi belt.

So elegant! And the belt added a touch of trendy fun as well!

How could we ever forget the faceplant heard and seen around the world?

And when we say faceplant, we mean Miguel's crotch all up in some girl's poor face at the Billboard Music Awards!

It was one of THE BEST, but also one of the most embarrassing falls we've seen in awards show history! So, it had us wondering, who else experienced a painful on-stage blunder they would just love to forget??

Galas aren't just for actors and musicians! They're for athletes too!!

Last night marked the 28th annual Sports Spectacular Gala held in Century City, California, and some of the BIGGEST names in sports came out to play!

The night featured a memorial for the late Los Angeles Lakers owner Dr. Jerry Buss as well as an award ceremony for athletes such as US soccer superstar Hope Solo and Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul!

But the real guest of honor was none other than Jason Collins, who earned the title of Inspirational Athlete of the year for his decision to become the first active player to come out as openly gay in a major U.S. sport!

The trailblazing center said:

Firefighters in Atlanta don't just put out burning buildings or pull cats out of trees.

They also save ducklings!!

Apparently, a mother duck was going crazy after her ducklings fell down a storm drain, and a PETA member called the fire department.

The firemen sprung into action, arriving at the scene, removing the grate, climbing down and rescuing all 8 baby ducks!

Boys, better not date Taylor Swift in the next month or so!

Otherwise, you just might find yourself the target of her next performance.

Swifty is headed back to Nashville for the CMT Awards next month to dazzle fans yet again with a performance of one of her many hit songs.

Considering she upped the ante by openly slamming Harry Styles during her Grammys performance, we no longer know what to expect from country's dearest darling!

Will she continue to slam her former British boy or rehash an even older romance or diss host Jason Aldean's cheating ways?

Or maybe - just MAYBE - she'll perform a completely harmless song!

Naaah! ;)

Watch out, boys! Or better yet — don't screw her over if you date her!

Both magnificent musicians were nominated for Outstanding Musical Artist at last night's GLAAD Media Awards in San Francisco and, guess what, voters couldn't decide which one they liked best!!

The American Idol star and the Thinkin About You singer actually ended up sharing the award!!

Adam was also honored with the Davidson/Valenti Award because of his dedication to the LGBT community and consistent and significant promotion of equal rights!

Even cooler, Mel B. handed him the trophy!!!
