The firm Slater & Gordon conducted a survey of 500 managers and found some incredibly startling and very illegal results that have to do with hiring women in the workplace.
Apparently more than 40% of the people surveyed admitted to being weary of hiring a woman who is close to the 'childbearing' time of her life… because maternity leave is too high of a cost.
AND around the same amount of people admitted that they were ALSO hesitant to hire a woman for a senior role in the company if she's already had a child.
