We SO didn't see this one coming!
Nicolas Ghesquière and Balenciaga seemed to have parted ways amicably back in November after a 15-year relationship, but things have definitely soured since then!
In his first interview for System magazine after leaving the fashion house, Nicolas admitted that he had grown unhappy with the way the higher-ups were managing the brand.
One of his most revealing statements more or less accused the powers-that-be of only caring about profit. Nicolas said:
It's like the world is ending!
Just kidding; it's really not that serious, but it is a HUGE change!
A bunch of VERY reliable sources are reporting that Marc Jacobs may not renew his contract at Louis Vuitton, where he has been the creative director for 16 years!
Nicolas Ghesquire, formerly of Balenciaga, is also reportedly in talks to take his place as the new captain of that world-renowned luxury steamer.

After his lovely wife Jessica Biel walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, Justin Timberlake made his own separate appearance to promote his new movie Inside Llewyn Davis.
And what a dapper appearance it was!
Attending the film's photo call in the south of France, JT looked like the captain of Cannes in his khaki pants and navy sweater.
Later that evening, Justin made sure his suit & tie were in full force wearing a Balenciaga tux for the red carpet premiere.
Both looks are absolutely scrumptious on Mr. Timberhottie! He can sure bring the handsome, can't he???

Carey Mulligan stuck to her all black color palette on Wednesday for her first appearance at the Cannes International Film Festival.
Mrs. Mumford arrived at The Great Gatsby photocall on Wednesday wearing a strapless Balenciaga by Alexander Wang jumpsuit from the A/W 2013 collection.
She still stood out, though, with her minimalist look that she paired with black Saint Laurent t-bar pumps, very little make-up and her short blonde hair slicked back.
Pretty, but we're expecting something a lot more flashy for this evening's premiere!

Carey Mulligan's spread in Flaunt magazine's "Fabrication" issue is like a religious experience!
In a very Frida Kahlo-esque photo shoot, Carey dons a blunt bob and is photographed wearing a long Valentino laser cut dress amongst a sea of candles in what looks like an old Spanish church.
The rest of the shoot is just as colorful and inspiring as she is seen posing in various parts of a Spanish mission in Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel and Balenciaga.
All we have to say is muy linda y queremos más de Carey!
Such a departure from her Great Gatsby style, but we're not complaining!

Hey, at least it's not black! Plus, it's cute!
Jennifer Aniston celebrated the launch of her Living Proof Good Hair Day web series in Manhattan on Wednesday night.
The actress opted for a gray suede drop-waist Balenciaga dress and strappy tan heels, which almost blended in with her bronzed skin.
Her hair was as sleek and shiny as ever thanks to her longtime hairstylist Chris McMillan, who attended the event with her.
