In case you didn't know, WNBA stars Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson are getting married — but based on this sad news, the wedding might be off.
The two were reportedly arrested in Phoenix on Wednesday afternoon after a domestic dispute between the couple got out of hand.
According to police reports Griner and Johnson had been arguing for days, but the fight finally came to a head when Brittney threw a dog bowl.
Then the basketballers went at one another, and according to Glory's sister, who called the police; they couldn't be pulled apart or talked down.
Apart from cuts and bruises, neither of the women were seriously injured, but the fight sounds pretty brutal — Brittney may even have
Sad, sad news.
Lauren Hill, the terminally ill basketball player who wanted nothing more than to play college ball, has passed away.
Lauren got to live out her dream in November when the NCAA moved up Mount St. Joseph University's first game.
Gurl even made a sweet layup!
Though she was not expected to live past December, Lauren was a fighter until the end. She made it all the way until April before finally succumbing to her brain tumor.
Number 22 was just 19.

What a horrible incident.
In the early morning hours of April 8, Indiana Pacers forward Chris Copeland and his wife, Katrine Saltara, were stabbed outside of 1OAK nightclub in NYC.
While the details are a bit convoluted, it all started when Chris and Katrine were arguing outside of the venue. According to an onlooker, a man named Shezoy Bleary tried to intervene in the twosome's fight which did not sit well with Copeland.
Apparently Bleary was so upset by the basketball star's rebuff that he viciously attacked the couple and their close friend with a knife.
Sheesh, why do people think violence is ever the answer?!
Thankfully Chris and Katrine are in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital and they're expected to make a full recovery.
NBA legend Larry Bird released the following statement about the incident:
Torrey Ward was the associate head coach for Illinois State basketball, and he was on a small plane returning from the Final Four title game on Tuesday game when bad weather — mainly fog — reportedly caused catastrophic problems for the flight. Seven people lost their lives.
Here's what the Chicago Tribune reported:
"[The] Cessna 414 had left the Indianapolis airport around 11 p.m. and hit heavy fog over central Illinois, according to Scott Barrows, the father-in-law of the owner of the plane, Scott Bittner, who was among those killed."
We can't even imagine what their families and friends are going through.
Scott Barrows, a former UIC faculty member, also commented on the tragic incident
This February, the sports world lost a true legend when iconic North Carolina Tar Heels basketball coach Dean Smith passed away at 83 years old.
However, his former players are learning today that the bond they shared with their coach is still alive and well.
Before he died, Coach Smith wanted to make sure his players (specifically his lettermen players) knew how much they meant to him, so he made sure to leave them a little present in his will!
So what exactly did he leave them? Well, Dean made sure a letter was sent to 180 of his former players containing a check for $200 and a note to "enjoy a dinner out"!
Awwwww! How sweet is that!!
Former UNC player Jim Dempsey posted a picture of the letter he and many others received this morning, and we're sure more than a few players were fighting back some waterworks when this came in the mail!

This goes out to everyone who was irresistibly bad at sports in high school!
Fall Out Boy has released the video for their new song Irresistible, and we can't get enough of it!
The band plays basketball against some people who are much, much, MUCH better than them, but you know what?
It doesn't even matter because the crowd keeps on going wild, cheering them on!
Ch-ch-check it out (above)!
