The pain is still fresh for Ben Stiller.
Despite leading a life of comedy, Stiller has experienced a lot of heartache since losing his mother Anne Meara in May of 2014. The matriarch passed away at age 85.
Speaking on the loss, the actor admitted it's still hard to accept his mother's passing as the two were very close:
"It happened so recently that I'm still processing it. It affects me constantly. You know, you're going through your life, everything is great and then like, Pow! She's not here. It's hard for me."
So sad. At least B.S. has his wife Christine Taylor to lean on.
Going back the humor of his mom, Stiller revealed
"Obviously, my dad is a huge person in my life. I love him. But my mom was the person that I most looked up to for her point of view, her humor. To the end, my mother never lost her sense of humor. It's amazing to be able to laugh."
How sweet. It sounds like Anne was an amazing woman.
Summing of the lovely personality of his mother, the comedian stated:
"She was a real meat-and-potatoes Irish Catholic New Yorker. She didn't put on any airs or have an ego tied up with show business. She was incredibly comfortable with being who she was. She had a tough exterior, but it was easy to get past it. She was so loyal and generous to people, helping them, supporting them. She loved young people."
Aw. It's too bad Meara couldn't be there too witness Zoolander 2 — we bet Ben would have loved for his mom to be there.
Stay strong, Ben!

While you don't have to wait anymore as Zoolander 2 just came out today, you might want to think twice before heading out to a theater to see it.
Critics are not only hating on Stiller's most recent comedy by calling it "idiotic", and a "hideous knockoff" filled with a "parade of forgettable cameos", but it currently has a 20% on Rotten Tomatoes.
See what critics from all over had to say about the disappointing sequel (below):
Ben Stiller's Zoolander 2 is finally here and it looks like the fictitious model has a little fan in Jacob Tremblay!
The Room star stopped by Conan last night while making his rounds on the cutest kid in Hollywood tour!
While the little guy was chatting it up with the red haired comedian, he told the host about his three different red carpet looks, Blue Steel, Canadian bacon, and maple syrup.
Even though Jacob needs to work on his lip pout, his looks were an obvious play on Stiller's character's lack of expressions in his upcoming film.
Ch-ch-check out Tremblay as he continues to charm and show off his model looks (below)!
Penelope Cruz is one of the most stunningly beautiful women in Hollywood!
So, she was understandably a bit taken back when Savannah Guthrie said she had "ugly feet" on the Today show!
During Thursday morning's interview, the Zoolander 2 star talked about how Ben Stiller asked her to play the role of Valentina in the comedy sequel — while she was grocery shopping in Africa!
Cruz then opened up about a few more personal questions, revealing she knows how to cut hair and used to take in stray animals when she first moved to El Lay!
But when Guthrie brought up the fact that the 41-year-old previously admitted to having ugly feet, Cruz wasn't having it — and made it clear that she had "normal" tootsies!

Any passionate relationship can get heated when jealousy comes into play. But for Penelope Cruz, it's just an opportunity to get even!
Sharing provocative details, the 41-year-old explained how she wooed Ferrell to get back at her model idiot paramour, writing:
