Björk is getting ready to release her arguably most innovative album yet, Biophilia, and has once again enlisted the help of director Michel Gondry to oversee the music video for her latest single, Crystalline!
Ch-ch-check it out (above)!
Yeah, pretty much just as out there as you'd expect!
Kind of an avant-garde, stop-motion interpretation of the iTunes music visualizer! Ha!
What do U think?? Are U looking forward to Biophilia??
When it comes to her, we never really know what to anticipate…and this was no exception!
Check out Björk's just-released second single off of her upcoming album, Biophilia, called Cosmogony (below)!
And, as we've reported, the singer is launching the record as the world's first iPod/iPad/iPhone album app, and each song will feature "an interactive game based on the song’s scientific and musical subject matter."
It was the best day of the month when you'd get an issue in the mail and open it up and read about your favorite '90s wank that was just dripping with delicious sarcasm and wit. It was the alternative girl's guide to living through adolescent while also providing hope for girls who wanted to rebel against the social code. Each issue also gave you some awesome beauty advice like how to decorate your Doc Martens with ironic paint and twirl your hair in little balls like Bjork. These were the days when Evan Dando was your centerfold dreamboat and you LIKED IT.
Anyway, apparently Courteney Cox loved Sassy magazine as much as we do because she's now the new home editor of former Sassy and Jane editor Jane Pratt's new website xoJane - the go-to place for Sassy Girls who are now Jane women.
Yes, Court is going the way of GOOP and is contributing her own tips, ideas, and thoughts to the new Not-Quite-The-It-Girl site.
It's just as fresh and funny and the good ol' days of Sassy and Jane and yes, even though we were a bit skeptical at first of Courteney being a contributor, we have to admit, she fits right in.
Jane Pratt herself said, "I've been getting all my best home and beauty tips from this girl. Now she's going to be giving them to you."
Well, it's about time! No one can blow our minds the way she does, and this sounds like no exception!
Björk has kept a pretty low profile since her 2007 album, Volta, but gurlfriend has just announced that there's a whole lot more of her coming our way!
The Icelandic singer not only has revealed that she'll be performing a series of show's as a part of this year's Manchester International Festival, but also that she has a new album in the works called, Biophilia, set to be released sometime in 2011!
According a press release, Biophilia is being described as "a multi-media project encompassing music, apps, internet, installations and live shows" with instruments like "a bespoke digitally-controlled pipe organ; a 30 foot pendulum that harnesses the earth's gravitational pull to create musical patterns– creating a unique bridge between the ancient and the modern; a bespoke gamelan-celeste hybrid; and a one-off extraordinary pin barrel harp."
Holy shiz. This sounds pretty ambitious - just how we like her!
Some sneaky sis (or bro!) took a little behind-the-scenes video of Madonna's MDNA tour rehearsal in Tel Aviv this weekend and has shared some incredible footage!
Part of Madge's setlist is her iconic homage to self-love, Express Yourself, but in her 2012 version, she is spicing it up by mashing it with Lady GaGa's similar anthem, Born This Way.
Yeah, you're not going to want to miss this!
Ch-ch-check out the video (above) to hear Madonna sing BOTH Express Yourself and Born This Way!
