Who says Bruce Springsteen can't keep up with the latest dance crazes?
The rock legend's original fan base may have been baby boomers, but the Boss proved he's just as relevant with millennials at his latest concert!
During the Oakland concert on the band's River Tour on Sunday, the Born to Run singer pulled up a young fan on stage to dance while the E-Street Band played Dancing in the Dark.
And the teenage girl, nicknamed Boo (as evidenced by her sign), used her time on stage to teach the 66-year-old some new dance moves!
As Boo proceeded to Whip, Nae Nae, and Dab, Bruce danced along with her — and really seemed to take a liking to dabbing!
Ch-ch-check out the cute cross generational moment (below)!
On Saturday night in Brooklyn, the Dancing In The Dark singer opened his concert with a flawless cover of Purple Rain that ab-SOUL-utely brought the house down!
When he sings "It's such a shame our friendship had to end…" Ugh! It's like he's The Boss of our emotions!
See Bruce pay emotional tribute to The Purple One (below)!
It's been about 4 weeks since North Carolina's Governor Pat McCrory signed the bigoted House Bill 2 into law, taking away LGBT employment discrimination protection and keeping transgender students from using the bathroom associated with the gender they identify as.
Since then, entertainers have been raising their voices to stand up for what's right; Bruce Springsteen, Ringo Starr, and even Cirque du Soleil have all canceled shows in the state to protest the bill.
Now another act is following in their footsteps — Pearl Jam have decided to cancel their Wednesday night concert in Raleigh, NC.
The band wrote a lengthy, thoughtful statement on the matter, saying:
We're supportive of any effort to right North Carolina's wrongs!
By now you've probably heard about the handful of Southern states who have passed anti-LGBT bills that limit rights to same sex couples and transgender individuals… but luckily the rest of the country has been fighting back.
In fact, celebrities, companies, and shows like Disney, Marvel, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Ray Cyrus, The Walking Dead, PayPal, and, more recently, Jimmy Buffett and Deutsche Bank have publicly condemned the Religious Freedom Acts for being blatantly discriminatory and have even punished the states by taking their businesses elsewhere.
However, while these boycotts have brought awareness of the bigotry to the National level, not everyone in North Carolina believes cancelling shows and projects is the best method of recourse.
North Carolina Needs You is a group of organizations and concerned citizens who are urging artists to play their scheduled events and to use them as platform to show lawmakers that they're wrong.
Local LGBT Centers and other queer collectives banded together following The Boss' announcement last Friday, saying:
Born to run… away from North Carolina!
Girls in their Summer clothes are gonna be bummed to know that Bruce Springsteen just canceled an upcoming concert in Greensboro, North Carolina on Sunday.
However, we're happy to say that he's doing it to fight inequality in the state due to their recent anti-LGBT bill!
As you may have heard, Gov. Pat McCrory passed bill HB2 at the end of March which allows businesses to refuse services to gays and forces transgender people to use the bathroom of the gender to which they were assigned at birth!
The Boss himself shared his inspirational decision on his website Friday afternoon, writing:
Saying goodbye is never easy, and Thursday night was particularly tough as American Idol eliminated one last singer to leave the final 3 to battle it out to be crowned the champ!
Sadly, in last night's episode, it was down to La'Porsha and Mackenzie and the moment Ryan Seacrest revealed the two singers in danger, Bourg knew he was going home.
The good news is, if you love Harmon, Rapattoni, or Renae, then you've still got a great chance for your pick to win it all next week as they turned in some AH-Mazing performances!
Ch-ch-check out the final three's best performances from last night (below) and let us know who you'll be rooting for to win it all!
