It's official!
Internet staple Yahoo has agreed to buy the ever-popular blogging site, Tumblr, for a whopping $1.1 billion!!
That price tag makes this major deal the LARGEST acquisition of a social media company in YEARS, overshadowing Facebook's $1 billion purchase of Instagram last year.
The purchase was made by Yahoo chief executive Marissa Mayer in an effort to make the fading company appeal to a younger crowd.
With over 108 million blogs, Tumblr will (hopefully) push Yahoo into the forefront of the social networking and smart phone revolution.
But don't worry guys! Your fave blogging site will not change TOO much.
In an open letter to loyal followers, Tumblr founder David Karp said:

Akon has a TON of kids!
Which means he'll be shelling out a TON of money after a judge has ordered the singer to pony up for child support!
Luckily for Akon - he makes lots of money, so he should be able to afford it!
The singer has been ordered by a judge to pay

Who knows makeup better than a man?
Uhhh…
Well, Nigel Barker better hope that's true or else he's in for a huge wakeup call. The former America's Next Top Model judge is going from snapping pics to glossing lips as he plans to launch TWO makeup lines next year!
Still worried a man can't handle the beauty gig?
Fear not, his wife AND makeup artist, Cristen Barker, will be working with him on Beauty Equation and BE.
Phew!
Beauty Equation will be

Star Trek Into Darkness may have tried to boldly go where no blockbuster had gone before, but unfortunately, it appears to have fallen a few million dollars short of that!
Although the J.J. Abrams-directed sequel was expected to rack in between $90-$100 million during its opening box office weekend, the numbers are now in….and apparently, audiences were not as thrilled to see Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto battle it out with Benedict Cumberbatch, as it only secured about $70.6 million!
But don't fret, Trekkies!
The flick STILL beat out all of the competition for the weekend's number one spot domestically, and in the process crushed both Iron Man 3, which came in second with $35.2 million, and The Great Gatsby, which made a cool $23.4 and rounded out the top three!
Ch-ch-check out the rest of the weekend's box office top ten…AFTER THE JUMP!!!

Ummm, this is going to be so beyond ridic, riiight??
We've all seen Effie Trinket's insane makeup style in the first Hunger Games movie, and admit it, you've tried to copy it!
Well, that task might be a little easier now that CoverGirl is teaming up with the hit flick to launch a Capitol Collection makeup line!
Can you imagine the color palettes about to rock our worlds?!
And if any brand can get it right it'll be CoverGirl because the makeup artists on the set of Hunger Games used the brand on the cast to create those AH-Mazing looks.
But please don't fight each other to the death for this collection because there will be plenty of it for everyone when it hits shelves in November!
Meanwhile, you can wet your tastebuds on the print and TV ad campaigns about to roll out.

Robert Downey, Jr.'s obligations to Marvel are done after Avengers 2, but what does that mean for the Iron Man series?
Can there really be a sequel without RDJ??
Marvel President Kevin Feige says the show must go on, with or without its signature star. He says:

Sorry, Miley and RiRi!
Guess the 4/20-oriented coffee shop dreams will have to stay located in Amsterdam for now!
Because despite earlier comments made by Patrick Dempsey regarding the possibility of incorporating a little bit more, ahem, 'herbal refreshment' into his recently bought-up line of Tully's coffee shops in Washington states, he now wants the world to know that he was merely practically joking!
If you don't recall, Dr. McDreamy originally said:
"Coffee is good for your mind—it's basically a legalized drug. The next step is selling marijuana, of course. There's a business model there. You could present it in a beautiful, elegant way: a Michelin-starred coffee shop where you can get marijuana."
However, he now would like to clarify that:
