Looks like an online petition asking Victoria's Secret to make mastectomy bras is not happening.

Despite Allana Maiden and her mother Debbie Barrett collecting 120,000 signatures asking the lingerie label to create a bra for breast cancer survivors, and even meeting with some of the VS execs, it turns out that after some research, the panty giant's decided to not make the designs.

Victoria's Secret released a statement, saying:

There's no question that Angelina Jolie showed TONS of courage when she announced her decision to have preventative, and the more we look at her family's history with cancer the more it makes sense that she would take such extreme measures.

The actress knew for two reasons that she was at a high risk of being diagnosed with cancer. The first was she had a BRCA1 gene mutation, which greatly increases the chances of getting the disease. The second reason was that it runs in her family.

Ann Curry Asked By NBC Execs To Secure First TV Interview With Angelina Jolie!

| Filed under: TV NewsAngelina JolieHealthCancer

angelina jolie ann curry interview

Ann Curry and Angelina Jolie have built quite the rapport throughout their years in the industry. But that doesn’t mean Ann will be the first to interview the actress since the reveal of her double mastectomy…

A source has revealed that the former TODAY Show co-host has been asked by NBC to “convince [Angelina] to give her first television interview about the procedure.” Apparently, NBC wants to schedule a two-hour, primetime special for the interview in addition to a spot on TODAY.

The source added:

“Ann would be prominently featured in all of the promotions and publicity if Angelina agreed to do it… Angelina made it known after Ann was demoted from TODAY that the only journalist to interview her from the Peacock network would be Curry.”

Despite the fact that Angelina’s interview would garner HUGE ratings for the network that gets it, it seems Ann doesn’t feel right taking advantage of her friendship with the star.

Angelina Jolie's Brave Aunt Debbie Battles Stage Four Breast Cancer After Testing Positive For Gene Mutation!

| Filed under: Angelina JolieInspirationSad SadFamilyCancer

Even though we can't even begin to comprehend how difficult Angelina Jolie's courageous decision to undergo a double mastectomy must have been for the incredible, inspirational actress, it's clear that she made the choice knowing just how devastating the toll can be for those with the defective gene that is linked to both breast and ovarian cancer!

And not just because she lost her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, to the same disease!

Sadly, it appears that Angie's Aunt Debbie, her mom's sister, is now battling stage four breast cancer, even though she elected to have her ovaries removed after taking a test that showed she also carried the faulty BRCA1 gene.

Watch her bravery and perseverance, covered in a story for Inside Edition (above)!

So unreal to think that this disease has ravaged an entire family for so many generations, but hopefully, by coming forward and discussing their struggles so openly, women like Angie and her Aunt Debbie can break the cycle and raise awareness so others in similar situations have the information and resources necessary to make potentially life-saving decisions regarding their health.

Stay strong, you guys! You're in our prayers!
