Now we totally understand her dress choice for the Tony Awards on Sunday evening!
Carey Mulligan has been concealing a growing baby bump from our prying eyes, and she's been doing such a great job — until someone decided to spill the beans to the press!
Apparently the actress has been carrying for a while now — even cleverly hiding the bump under a boxy dress at the Drama Desk Awards last month!

We totes alluded to a possible baby bump, and little did we know we were SO right!
A source on Broadway revealed the couple were planning on keeping the news mum for a while. They said:
Was it a requirement for 'Best Performance By An Actress In A Leading Role In A Play' nominees to be demurely covered up at the Tony Awards??
Because if so, Ruth Wilson and Carey Mulligan are nailing the rules like it's nobody's business!
The losers (Helen Mirren won their category) both chose oddly shaped frocks for their moment on the step-and-repeat — and we have to say, they're both misses.
The Constellations star opted for a true pink dress, which was a mix of a bodycon and ballgown silhouette. Utterly confusing!
While the Skylight actress chose an ill fitting strapless gown in oxblood.
And if this makes up for anything, their hair and makeup were pretty!

Carey Mulligan finally made her return to the red carpet at the Drama Desk Awards in New York City!
And well, she definitely made an entrance in her boxy black dress!
It's not unusual the actress would choose such a dark colored frock, but the fit is a bit confusing, especially with the tan Christian Louboutin pumps.

Could Carey be covering up for a reason?? Possibly because of some good news for her and husband, Marcus Mumford?
That or she just wanted to let loose in a flowy frock! But either way, we think she could have gone a better route.
What do U think???

The Tony Awards are coming, and they're pretty star-studded!
The nominees were announced by Bruce Willis and Mary Louise Parker, appropriate given their RED costar Helen Mirren is nominated for Best Leading Actress for her role in The Audience!

Other movie and TV stars with nods include Bradley Cooper for The Elephant Man, Carey Mulligan for Skylight, and Elisabeth Moss for The Heidi Chronicles.
You can find out who wins when the ceremony airs on CBS June 7, hosted by Alan Cumming and (current nominee for On The Twentieth Century) Kristin Chenoweth.
But you can see the whole list of nominees right now (below)!
Strong women in strong roles!
We love to see Meryl Streep, Carey Mulligan, and Helena Bonham Carter working together.
But what makes these three working together even better is that they're working on the movie Suffragette, which is about the British suffragette movement that helped women acquire the right to vote.
And while we know this movie will probably be great, we're happy to get a few glimpses of the ladies on set to prove it's going to be great!
The three were spotted in London looking totally fierce in their vintage garb.
We hope to get plenty more sneak peeks because with these three together it's just triple the goodness!

"When I went to the Oscars - the only time I've ever been to the Oscars - a few years ago, I wore this Prada dress covered in cooking utensils. I got drunk at the end of the night and started ripping them off and giving them as presents to people, so that was fun. I'm pretty sure that was the point of it, that's how Miuccia meant for it to go I'm sure."
– Carey Mulligan talking about the time she drunkenly deconstructed her expensive designer gown.

We've heard some pretty funny missed connection stories, but this may be the most MILE HIGHlarious!
Jonah Hill was getting his flirt on with a first class cutie when tragedy - and hilarity - struck the airplane bathroom!
We can't decide which is worse: what happens in this heartbreakingly humiliating story, or repeating it all in front of Carey Mulligan, Robert De Niro, and Sylvester Stallone!
Ch-ch-check out the video (above) to hear the whole terrible tale!
