Carrie Underwood may have been Blown Away by a tornado made from special effects in the music video for her smash song of the same name, but when it comes to the real life consequences of such a devastating force a nature, she's wasted no time jumping right into action!
In the wake of the lost lives and mass destruction at the hands of the tornados that ravaged Oklahoma, the country superstar has followed in the footsteps of Kevin Durant, Blake Shelton and countless other heroes by donating $100 MILLION to the American Red Cross for relief efforts in her native state!
She says in a statement:

Prepare to frolic among Austria's flower dappled hills in so much excitement, cause NBC's LIVE television production of Sound of Music starring the lovely Carrie Underwood has secured a date!
We found out at the end of last year that the country crooner would play the show's leading lady AKA Maria, but now we can breathe easy knowing that this epic sounding 3 hour live spectacle will beam into our homes Thursday, Dec 5.
Just what we need to get us into the holiday spirit!
Hmm, we wonder who will play the dashing Mr. Von Trapp…
Oh man, we would LOVE it if Hugh Jackman got in on the action!
Hey, if he can do the character of Jean Valjean justice, he'd be an X-ellent choice for Sound of Music's leading man!

Can you say diva???!!!
Because that is the ONLY way to describe Carrie Underwood during her performance of Two Black Cadillacs at the 48th annual Academy of Country Music Awards last night in Las Vegas.
Girl put on a show and belted it like no other country crooner on that stage.
She may not have walked away with any awards yesterday, but this performance DEFINITELY makes her a winner in our eyes.

Carrie Underwood returned to the place where it all began. Heading back to American Idol last night, the country singer and 6 time Grammy Award winner performed her new single See You Again.
Ch-ch-check out her performance (above).
Carrie first performed for American Idol judges back in 2004 on the show's fourth season. At the time, she'd never even been on a plane! It's safe to say this lady has come a long way! How many planes has she been on by now, d'you think?
With American Idol ratings at an all time low, we can't help but wonder if this is a ploy to boost ratings. Either way, Carrie's performance was stellar as usual! And did we mention how stunning she looked in that peach dress?!
FLAWLESS.

Oh SHIZZ!
Carrie Underwood’s latest single Two Black Cadillacs hit No. 1 this week on the Mediabase country airplay charts! That makes this Carrie’s 17th No. 1 single since her career first began!
What’s more? Two Black Cadillacs is also her 8th track to reach No. 1 as a songwriter. AND the track’s video has sat at the top spot of GAC’s Top 20 Countdown for a total of three weeks.
The country crooner is set to perform at the 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, where she stands a chance at winning the Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year awards!
Can’t stop this chick!
P.S. Have you heard about her NEW single yet?!

Carrie Underwood and LeAnn Rimes brought a little bit of country lovin' to the Country 2 Country Music Festival in London on Sunday.
The songstresses worked the stage in front of a packed crowd in body-baring black outfits.
Following the performance, Carrie tweeted:
