Last night in concert, Charice took time out to recognize one of her heroes who, as you might've heard, passed on this week.

Over the weekend, Charice performed in Vegas at the David Foster & Friends Thanksgiving Concert. When her set was over, she humbly asked if she could perform an impromptu number in loving memory of her father that she lost a few weeks earlier.

Angel Capili Jr. turned himself into authorities in the Philippines on Thursday after his wife arranged his surrender.
Capili, also a construction worker, admitted to senselessly killing Pempengco and says he "planned to surrender because what I did was wrong." He's also seeking forgiveness from Charice and the rest of her family, continuing:
Our heart really goes out to her right now.
We can't even begin to imagine how difficult this whole thing must be for she and her family.
In light of the news that her estranged father, Ricky Pempengco, was murdered last night in The Philipines, Charice has canceled the remainder of her South East Asian tour dates to return home and be with her family.
She says in a statement:
