Watch Cher Present Chaz Bono With The Stephen F. Kolzak Award

Aww! Such an AMAZING moment between a mother and son!

Chaz Bono was honored with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award at the GLAAD Media Awards and who better to present it to him than his mother Cher!

The annual award honors those who have dedicated their life in the media to fighting homophobia. Chaz is the 21sh recipient since it was first given to the Hollywood casting director for whom it is named after.

Other out and proud members of the LGBT community to receive the lifetime achievement include Ellen DeGeneres, Melissa Etheridge, John Waters, and Wanda Sykes.

Watch the video (above) to hear Cher has to say about her son's decision to transition and, more importantly, her own transition into fully accepting his decision!

Cher Surprises Chaz At GLAAD Awards

She doesn't need to turn back time. Cher is as beautiful, inside and out, as she's ever been!

Last night, Cher's son Chaz Bono was honored at the GLAAD Awards with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award as well as the outstanding documentary prize for sharing his journey as a transgender in the documentary film, Becoming Chaz. After his stepmother Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack said a few words and played a video highlighting Chaz's contributions, who should gypsy, traipse and thieves onto the stage but Cher herself.

Obviously, the room went NUTS, including Chaz, who didn't know his mother was coming to support him.

In a brief but touching speech, Cher shared (ha!) that

What The Tabs Are Talking About!

in-touch-sandra-bullock-cover.jpg

It was a busy week for the tabs!

Poor Sandra Bullock. Everyone just wants to make sure she's making the right choices in life!

In Touch says that Sandy is involved in a "risky new romance" with sleazy director Brett Ratner.

Ruh-roh! We don't like the sound of that!

Then, of course, there's the BIG news that Snooki is knocked up! After weeks of speculation, she finally confirmed it to Us Weekly, giving the mag all the deets of her pregnancy and her engagement to boyfriend Jionni. Let us all pray…

Meanwhile, Star brings up the old news of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith's crumbling marriage. Apparently, there's a particular someone who came in between the couple, which prompted "Wild nights!" and "Exotic Vacations!" Scandalous!

Speaking of scandalous, Life & Style are reporting that Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries will be facing each other for the time in months in COURT! Kris will be "forced to tell the truth" about what their marriage was REALLY like and will apparently walk away with millions if a judge sides with him. Yikes!

The National Enquirer is concerned about Chaz Bono! Tipping the scales at 301 lbs., the tabloid says he's in need of life-saving emergency. We hope that's not the case, but we're thinking about him. Stay strong, Chaz!

And lastly, People took the classy route and honored the late Davy Jones, who died last week at the age of 66.

He will be greatly missed.

Soooo, which of these tabs do U want to get all the juicy deets from?

Chaz Bono Wants To Be The Next Bachelor … And We Think He Should!

Filed under: Love Line > Chaz Bono

chaz-bono-bacherlor.jpg

We're all about pushing boundaries and opening people up to the rest of the world, widening their scope of things and what have you. Plus, the ratings would be THROUGH THE ROOF!

Chaz Bono's been having a rough go at it in the dating scene. Since splitting with fiance Jennifer Elia in December, Cher's transgender son has been looking for love and coming up empty. While sources say that he's been out on a few dates with some "lipstick lesbians," Chaz is thinking of taking a more active approach with his love life … by starring in a Bachelor-like reality series!

According to a source, producers have approached him about doing a dating-type show and "he is all for it," but Cher is advising him against the idea. Supposedly, she's afraid her son has become obsessed with being a "celebrity" and she is afraid that being on a reality show like this will just end in heartache and embarrassment.

Valid concerns — but he should still do it. And he should be the ACTUAL Bachelor, not on a show like it. It's time to make America be more accepting of transgender people. If he can dance with the stars, he can find love on TV too!
