So that's why we lost so much money last time we went to Vegas! Ha!
Debbie Keller, a San Diego mother of a 3 and 5-year-old, is suing Chuch E. Cheese for promoting gambling addictions in children!
She believes that many of the games intended for children at the popular arcade-style restaurant are actually illegal gambling devices and is seeking $5 million for…her children's future gambling problems?
Despite the millions in "damages" she is seeking, her lawyer says the lawsuit's real purpose is to prevent the company from keeping the machines in its game rooms.
Chuck E. Cheese attorneys are moving for a dismissal of the lawsuit on the grounds that the games are legal and the California Legislature never intended to make operating a children’s arcade game a criminal act.
They also raise a good point that even if the games WERE illegal, then Mrs. Keller would be an admitted participant in illegal gambling and therefore barred from seeking damages.
Gambling addiction expert Bob Cabiness, who owns a treatment center for compulsive gambling in Virginia, doesn't the lawsuit stands much of a chance, saying:
"I don't think [Keller] has a case. If the mother feels there's gambling at Chuck E. Cheese, she shouldn't take the kids there."
Can't really argue with that, although we can see how SOME games at the kiddie playplace may resemble those found in a casino. However, we find it hard to see how she deserves millions of dollars in damages.
If anyone has developed a gambling addiction, it may be Debbie Keller who is rolling her legal dice for a $5 million jackpot!
Last month, we were appalled to report that a man was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant in New Orleans.
Now, ANOTHER MAN has been shot and killed during a dispute over a parking spot in a Chuck E. Cheese in South El Lay.
A search is currently on for the man who killed 29-year-old Daniel Villanueva for an absolutely absurd reason. A woman is also being sought who has been connected to the shooting.
So disturbing. We can't imagine what parents would bring their children to Chuck E. Cheese at this point.
Our thoughts go out to Daniel Villanueva's family and friends.
…We miss the days of Discovery Zone…sigh…
Is nobody safe anymore??
A man was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant in New Orleans Friday night.
The man hasn't been identified, but witnesses saw a 90s Nissan Maxima flee from the scene.
Whoever did this needs to be caught and put away! Several kids' lives were put in danger.
Violence is never the answer.
Earlier this week, we were impressed and pleased to learn that LeAnn Rimes, Eddie Cibrian, AND Eddie's ex Brandi Glanville all showed up for Eddie & Brandi's son Jake's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese!
In keeping with this whole "maturity thing," LeAnn has opened up about her affair with Eddie, and she had the following to say about her reasons for picking up with Eddie after things fell apart with her ex Dean Sheremet:
"I didn't have the tools to know how to do it the right way, how to let go the right way. I'd never been taught that."
"I think I felt really abandoned – I think 'abandoned' is a really good word – because of our divorce."
"Not only that, our divorce became so much bigger because it was publicized."
And here's LeAnn on how she feels now that she's engaged to Cibrian:
"I have … strength. I didn't have it at the time. So, it got really messy. I have learned a lot from that. I'm not glad it happened, but I know why it did."
As we said before, we're just glad to hear that LeAnn, Eddie, and Brandi were able to spend time together as friends for the kids. Hopefully the mature relationship between those three continues!
What do U think about LeAnn's comments/justification regarding her infidelity?

In a strange turn of events for Chuck E. Cheese, a fight did NOT break out in a situation that brought together two known enemies!
Shocking, we know!
We're happy they were able to do this!
Happy birthday, Jake!
Where a kid can watch a grown-up lose their shiz!
The police were called to a local Kansas Chuck E. Cheese Saturday after a woman allegedly assaulted an employee and broke into several cars in the parking lot.
According to reports, the young employee spotted the woman, who is still at large, breaking into the window of one of the cars and confronted her about it. That's when she attacked the employee and went on a rampage through the lot, breaking into several other vehicles, before scurrying off.
Police have an idea of what the suspect looks like from the surveillance video, but no positive ID has been made.
Hmm. Could this be the culprit?!
