Clay Got Paid!!!

clay.jpg

Magazine industry insiders reveal that Clay Aiken was paid $500,000 to pose on the cover of People with his new baby AND to talk about coming out of the closet.

The crappy economy apparently forced Clay to settle for that 'paltry' figure.

Frankly, we think he was overpaid!

The only other magazine who bid against People for the story was OK! and they're being forced to be more budget conscious.

Is Clay going to give the money to charity?

Hell no!

Now that he's officially come out of the closet as a gay man, my advice to Clay Aiken is "________________."

Clay's Babymomma Speaks!

clay-cover.jpg

Everyone is jumping on the Clay Aiken bandwagon!

After hearing from the Gayken, we've also heard from American Idol meanie Simon Cowell and a former internetz luhvah.

So, now it only makes sense that next up should be none other than Clay's baby momma, 50-year-old (Yup!) pal and music producer Jaymes Foster.

Jaymes, who was impregnanted through the wonders of science, says in an interview with People, that she thought she was going to be one of the lucky ones and avoid the whole morning sickness thing all together. But, it unfortunately didn't happen that way.

So she took pills for the nausea.

Uh….

She goes on to add that other than that, her chemistry kit pregnancy was a "breeze."

At 50 she says she was finally ready to have a kid. Jaymes says that when she was younger, she was enjoying her career and traveling the world. With that out of the way, she says she feels she can be a better mother.

Are you listening Bristol Palin?

(We thought we'd give Jamie Lynn a well-deserved break this week.)

When asked what makes Clay a great daddy, she says:

He's an incredible caregiver. As far as changing the diapers and seeing what's wrong with [Parker] and getting him to go sleep, Clay's a natural and he's really, really good with that. On a larger scale, he's the perfect person. He's been a school teacher, we have the same morals, family is very important to him and Parker means everything to us.

In dealing with their new son, Jaymes says she's terrified of trimming his little nails, so she leaves the manicures to Clay. In return, she takes care of the baths, which Parker is apparently not fond of! "He kind of cries through that," Jaymes admits. Otherwise both parents are "very relaxed."

And when it comes to the big OMG CLAY IS GAY question, Jaymes says:

I totally support him. It's his choice. It's a choice that he made. I love him and I'll support him in any choice that he makes, whether as an entertainer, or a father, human being, of course I support him.

Jaymes tells People that she has always loved Clay and that even though their family is a little unconventional, she now shares an "even deeper bond" with him. "Our job is to remain best friends for the rest of our lives and that's the most important thing for Parker."

That's the way it should be!

Clay Opens Wide - Speaks More!

Haven't gotten your fill of Clay Aiken just yet???

Great! Cuz there's more!

Tune in to Good Morning America at 7:00am on Thursday to watch the Gayken's first television interview - with Diane Sawyer - since coming out.

What a media feeding frenzy this is turning out to be!!!

In addition to everything he said in People, Clay adds to GMA that with the birth of his son Parker Foster Aiken he felt it was time to "let his guard down," especially since he is now responsible for another life.

He also defends his choice to keep his sexuality to himself for so long and says that he found all the rumors "rude" and "invasive" because what he does in his private life is "nobody's business anymore."

LAME!!!!!!!!

Initially worried about his fans' reaction, he's been more than surprised by the outpouring of support. He responded with, "for the first time in recent history I am speechless. I'm so proud to know and love you all."

You should have done it sooner, Mary!

Naturally, Clayton is excited about his new role as dad and boasts that his son is "a loud one, that's for sure. He's got some lungs on him."

Already working on his American Idol audition?

"I Had A Cyber Affair With Clay"

Filed under: Gay Gay Gay > Clay Aiken

clay-aiken-yah.jpg

Before signing up for two months in the middle of nowhere and being cut off from the rest of the world, Charlie Herschel - a corporate lawyer from New York who is openly gay - was chatting up recently openly gay Clay Aiken online.

The two met on a popular social networking site (Manhunt?) and exchanged IM conversations while Charlie was in law school and Clay was in New York with Spamalot. Charlie says the pair IMed each other every day and are still friends.

Charlie says he auditioned for the 17th season of Survivor not for the gay-fame, but just because he'd wanted to since the first season. When he got the call for the show he packed up and traded his swanky New York apartment for a tent in Africa. While on location Charlie remained ignorant of all the developments in in Clay's life.

With the season about to debut Charlie will probably get a little taste of fame, much like his former chat buddy.

We wonder if Charlie is as "surprised" about Clay as the rest of the world is.

Simon Cowell on Newly Out Clay Aiken

cowell-cares.jpg

Reacting as he usually does, Simon Cowell spoke to TV's Extra about Clay Aiken's People magazine cover, proclaiming publicly for the first time that he's a gay man.

Says Simon, "Wow, that's a shock. It's like being told Santa Clause isn't real - unbelievable."

Wait a minute.

Santa Clause isn't real??????

Putting his delicious nastiness aside, Cowell added, "Good for him. If he said it, it's the right thing for him. Good for him."

What advice does Simon have for the Gayken???

"Make a good record," says Cowell. "He's got a good voice…He's on the front cover of People. He's still popular."

Gosh, Simon does have a heart! A teensy-tiny little itty-bitty one, because when asked if Clay asked him to be Parker's godfather, he replied, "I think I'd be the last person on Earth he'd call."

Oh Simon!

Identifying with Aiken's situation, Lance Bass was totally congratulatory. "I think it's amazing," says the former 'Nsync-er. " He's probably heard it all before… He's just going to be living his life like he wants to. Everyone's going to be very supportive and he's going to be the happiest he's ever been."

But will it hurt his female fan base?

Lance was reassuring.

"I swear, when I came out, I had more female fans."

Good times!
