On Thursday, the Oscar winner opened up in a SiriusXm radio interview that the band's track Everything's Not Lost brought her comfort after her father's death even before she met the British musician.
For the "My Favorite Song" segment, she explained:
"He wrote this song before I met him, and I think another reason it's sad for me is my father had just died when this album came out, and we used to listen to it kind of on repeat. This album was kind of getting my brother and I through that death."
Tissues, anyone? Not to mention, it appears as though Miz Paltrow can't deny her former flame's genius either as she also commented on Martin's fast songwriting ability.

Apparently, 247,000 copies were sold in the album's first week — over 100k more than David Bowie's posthumous Blackstar album — meaning the physical CD business is still booming overseas.
For those of you curious which acts still get some love in the mix CD market, the compilation album features 22 tracks, including:
On Thursday, it was reported that Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have FINALLY finalized their divorce after announcing their "conscious uncoupling" two years ago. Whomp, there it is!
A source told The Sun:
Jimmy Fallon is never one to turn down a chance to show off his amazing musical impressions.
But this is the first time we've ever seen him do one with such emotion!
It's nice to see such a serious moment from the typically silly show.
Ch-ch-check it out (below)!
Chris Martin also seems to think his split from Gwyneth Paltrow was weird AF!
The Yellow singer dished:
"It's a divorce but it's a weird one. It's funny. I don't think about that word very often: 'divorce.' I don't see it that way. I see it more like you meet someone, you have some time together, and things just move through. I've lived a lot of life since then."
In case you forgot, the A-listers announced their "conscious uncoupling" two years ago. My how time flies!
