Not everyone can be as country strong as Rayna and Juliette!
Fans of Nashville have been on a non-stop
tractor roller coaster ride of emotions ever since ABC first announced that they had cancelled the down-home drama after four seasons on the air.
Many Nashvillians were nervous that Hayden's IRL struggles with postpartum depression were going to force her off the show, but that no longer seems to be the case!
That's because on Wednesday it was reported that while Nashville will be losing
Y'all come back now, ya hear!
If you're like us, then you were devastated a few weeks back when ABC decided to cancel Nashville seemingly out of nowhere.
While we had been hearing reports about a rumored renewal, we didn't want to get our hopes up… but now we officially have a reason to celebrate!
That's because it was just announced on Friday that Nashville has been picked up for a fifth season thanks to CMT and Hulu!!!
Don't throw away your cowboy boots just yet!
As we reported in May, ABC made a surprise move and cancelled Nashville after four seasons. Not surprisingly, fans were pissed and vented their frustrations on social media!
Well it looks like the TV gods are answering our prayers because the country music drama will most likely be picked up for a fifth season!
According to sources, CMT is looking to renew the hit show, and if negotiations are in place in time, they will announce the news tomorrow at the CMT Music Awards!
After the show was cancelled, producer Lionsgate TV was vigilant in pitching the show to other networks. It appears they were so confident it was going to be picked up that they chose a cliffhanger ending for season 4, mapped out a season 5, and even funded a writers room with new showrunners Marshall Herskovitz and Ed Zwick at the helm.
Although nothing is set in stone, things are looking good y'all!

*** WARNING: Nashville Spoilers Ahead ***
It's the end of an era… or is it?
Following its surprise cancellation last week, Nashville gave what could very well like be its final bow on Wednesday, much to the disappointment of its loyal fans.
While the episode itself was incredibly dramatic — will Hayden Panettiere's Juliette ever be seen again?! — the biggest thing we took away was how similarly the plot played out to Kesha's real life legal troubles with Dr. Luke!
The 29-year-old pop star has already portrayed herself during Season Four, so it clearly was not a coincidence that Connie Britton's Rayna opened up about a producer forcing himself on her AND then her daughter Maddie was placed in the same situation…
But if you're nervous about the show's future following that cliffhanger ending, we actually have some good news.
After the series finale, Lionsgate Television consoled fans on Twitter with a pretty uplifting message, saying:
May is always a rough time of year for television lovers…
Since most TV shows usually finish up their seasons in the Spring, it's always interesting to see which series get to live on to the Fall, and which will never be heard of again.
Unfortunately for fans, 13 shows failed to make the cut on Thursday as ABC, FOX, CBS, and The CW each cancelled at least one of their programs!
As you probably already saw, hit series Nashville and Castle were both discarded by the House of Mouse amidst behind-the-scenes drama, while Supergirl barely survived thanks to a move to a new channel.
So… which shows won't be making it to the 2016-2017 season??
