In recent weeks, Courtney and Frances have pleaded with a judge to not releases photos of Kurt Cobain's 1994 suicide to the public, a move they claim would cause them "indescribable pain".
Since Cobain's suicide, only two photos have been released from the scene — a picture of a box containing drug paraphernalia and another of the singer's cash, cigarette pack, and wallet containing his identification.
The only reason why a judge is considering unsealing the devastating photos is due to a lawsuit from Richard Lee, who runs a Seattle public access TV show. Richard believes that the release of the images will prove that Kurt was murdered, a popular conspiracy theory held by many Nirvana fans.
Frances disagrees with Lee's assessment, saying:
"I have had to cope with many personal issues because of my father's death. Coping with even the possibility that those photographs could be made public is very difficult. Further sensationalizing it through the release of the these pictures would cause us indescribable pain."
Aw, we really feel for the 22-year-old! Considering the recent documentary about her dad, Kurt Cobain: A Montage of Heck, was difficult for the artist, we bet this new development is just as trying.
So, do YOU think the photos should be released?

When Kurt Cobain died in 1994, audiences were stunned that a promising musical genius could take his own life.
Fast forward to 2015, and an individual who investigated the Nirvana frontman's self-inflicted gunshot wound believes Cobain may not have committed suicide.
He may have been murdered.
Norm Stamper was the chief of Seattle police during the time of the grunge legend's passing, and he is calling for a reinvestigation of the 27-year-old's death.
The former officer turned writer told documentary Soaked in Bleach:
"I would tell you right now if I were the Chief of Police, I would reopen this investigation."
While a suicide note was found, there have been a number of widely circulated theories from Nirvana fans that contend the Smells Like Teen Spirit vocalist was the victim of a homicide:
Woah! This is insane!
Courtney Love was attacked by taxi drivers protesting Uber in Paris on Thursday!
But don't worry, she's ok!
The 50-year-old icon live tweeted her terrifying experience while in her Uber, even tagging one unlikely pal: Kanye West.
She's at it again!
Courtney Love isn't too happy about the documentary Soaked in Bleach, a new documentary that focuses on the circumstances around her husband Kurt Cobain's death.
Before the movie came out, Love had her lawyers send out a cease and desist letter to the theaters that were going to show the documentary.
She probably wasn't too happy about the film because the movie not only looks at the Cobain death, which was ruled a suicide but suggests it might have been a homicide and investigates Love's involvement in the death.
The cease and desist states:
It pays to have friends in high places!
Welp, with the first part of the finale of Dancing With the Stars airing last night, it's about time to announce who will get that mirror ball! It's honestly up in the air but if it was up to the celebs of Hollywood, it clearly seems like Rumer Willis and Valentin Chmerkovskiy would run away with it!
Both of Rumer's star parents — Bruce Willis and Demi Moore — showed up to DWTS last night to support their little girl — Rumer's sister even snapped a pic of Bruce getting a little teary eyed (below). But she also has quite a few other celeb fans in her corner including Gwyneth Paltrow, Miley Cyrus, and former stepdad Ashton Kutcher! Kutcher tweeted not only to get her extra support, but also a sweet message about his pride for her:
Fans of Lana Del Rey got an early case of Summertime Sadness when the singer's concert was abruptly cancelled at the last minute in Dallas, TX!
Thousands of fans assembled at the Gexa Energy Pavilion waiting for the Life is Beautiful songstress to take to the stage.
After Courtney Love performed the opening act, an announcement was made to the crowd that the show was being canceled due to "inclement weather" — before Del Rey even had a chance to make it on stage!
Though fans were told they would receive a full ticket refund, they were PISSED!
OMG! It just keeps getting juicier and more SCANDALOUS!
