Paul McCartney doesn't have to do much to dominate any stage he's performing on.
But the rocker called on the assistance of Dave Grohl Saturday night to help him perform The Beatles classic I Saw Her Standing There!
The music legend was performing at the O2 Arena in London when the Foo Fighters frontman joined him on stage and grabbed a guitar to join in — and he totally rocked out like a teenager!
This isn't the first time McCartney allowed Grohl to perform this 1963 hit with him. They sang the tune together at the 2009 Grammy Awards!
Check out the fan footage (below) to see the duo rocking out on stage!
It's late night TV nostalgia time!
After 31 years as the host of the Late Show, legendary television funny man David Letterman will be finishing his run on CBS tonight with one final farewell.
And to cap more than three decades of late night laughs, the 68-year-old TV talker is inviting his favorite band to play him off stage one last time!
Letterman has been open about his love for the Foo Fighters in the past, first having them on his show back in 2000, and the love between the comedian and band is definitely mutual!
About Letterman's career, Grohl gushed last week:
James Corden may not be revolutionizing late night, but this new activity is definitely pushing the envelope!
The Late Late Show host had his guests Dave Grohl, Jordana Brewster, and Rainn Wilson do a little life drawing LIVE.
In other words, they drew a nude model right in front of the audience!
See the celebs sketch, squirm, and get a LOT silly (below)!
Jack White is a rebel with a cause!
The rocker was playing Fenway Park on Wednesday when he took a minute to speak to his audience, joking about how, unlike the Foo Fighters, he wouldn't be using a backup guitar player to cover up his mistakes.
He followed that comment by teasing that the Dave Grohl diss was just to help feed RollingStone.com.
In fact, Dave Grohl is such a Lorde admirer that her AH-Mazing tunes are giving him hope for the future of pop music!
While we love ourselves some bubblegum and raunchy pop, Dave would rather listen to that curly-headed Kiwi belt out Royals on repeat.
The Foo Fighters frontman explained:
The day has finally come. Nirvana, one of the most influential bands in music history has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The momentous occasion comes almost exactly twenty years after lead singer Kurt Cobain’s death, whose memory was ever present at the ceremony in Brooklyn last night.
Joining the band for four emotional performances were four immensely talented ladies - Lorde, Joan Jett, Sonic Youth vocalist Kim Gordon and St. Vincent.
Each one stepped up to the mic to sing one of Nirvana’s now classic songs. 17-year-old Lorde channeled her inner ennui for a cover of All Apologies. Jett of course had to show she’s still very much a rock star with a rousing rendition of Smells Like Teen Spirit.
St. Vincent performed Lithium while Gordon took on Aneurysm.
Just a truly amazing night for music.
Ch-ch-check out the performances (below)!
