We love how REAL Demi Lovato is these days!
In a recent interview, Demi revealed that she wrote a "soulful" and "gospel" like song for her late father, who passed away from cancer in 2013. Dem's dad also struggled with alcohol and drug dependency issues, which a very sensitive topic for the singer considering she too battled similar demons.
The track, aptly titled Father, will be featured on Lovato's upcoming album, Confident. According to the 23-year-old the song will be a very "honest" tribute to her dad. Wilmer Valderrama's girlfriend revealed:
"I get very, very honest about the passing of my dad. My fans expect me to be honest, but what I think that people in general aren't going to expect is the way that I sing the song. I took it more to a soulful, gospel kind of sound, and it's the song that I think I might be most proud of on the album."
Aww. We're glad to hear that the Cool For the Summer singer was able to pay homage to her papa in a meaningful way.
So, are U excited to for D.L.'s new album?
Well, she basically slammed it, just not in its entirety!
Taking to her private Instagram on Sunday, the 35-year-old reportedly wrote:
"I felt embarrassed and sad. And old. We're getting old. But in all seriousness; I felt sad because music is supposed to inspire. It saved my life. This trash won't save any kids life… In a world that is even scarier and with lives still worth saving, who will stand up and have soul? Disenfranchised to say the least. Let down by my industry and peers. Beside Macklemore and Pharrell and Bieber(pre-sob fest) and The Weeknd, Tori Kelly was dope too. The rest was gross and embarrassing and hard for this aging pop star to believe."
So early Friday, Pink finally apologized.
She took to Twitter to write:
Miley Cyrus should always be utilized to her full potential!
This weekend, the multi-talented pop star hosted the 2015 VMAs, complete with a CRAZY surprise closing performance!
Now, it looks like Saturday Night Live is giving the Wrecking Ball singer the same dual responsibilities, as she will serve as both host AND musical guest for the Season 41 premiere!
Miley's episode will be followed the next week by host Amy Schumer and musical guest
It's Demi Lovato's summer!
But instead of rocking a strappy bodysuit like she did the other day, DemDem chose to highlight her curves in a colorful crop top and high-waisted booty shorts.
Notice how they so effortlessly show off her stems?? Of course, her black over-the-knee boots made it easy!
Keep killing it, girl!

And much to no one's surprise, it didn't go over well!
If you don't remember, these two previously had a spat after the comedienne said the Cool For The Summer songstress was the "biggest douche celebrity" she had ever met.
So when Kathy decided to take to Twitter to call out her singing abilities during the show on Sunday, Demi didn't keep quiet!
Here's what happened:
Talk about temperature fluctuation!
The songstress looked steamy as ever on the Pepsi Stage singing Cool For The Summer — complete with a surprise cameo by Iggy Azalea!
Demz made sure to include all of your favorite summer memorabilia in the performance, including umbrellas, beach balls, a sexy swimsuit inspired outfit, and everything MTV fans could want.
Check out the video (above) to see her surf the crowd in a giant inflatable kiddie pool!
