The singer opted for a tough, stringent rehab process this time around in a bid to get sober — and stay sober — for the rest of her life, according to a source.

Obviously, with Demi having been before (back in 2010, at just 18 years old), the star had some idea about what she wanted to get out of it this time around.

More new details behind her apparent overdose revealed.

These are some frightening new details.

Giving more insight into the timeline of Demi Lovato's night before an apparent overdose in July, it's been revealed the songstress was in contact with the drug dealer she had been using since April, and the two took oxycodone together.

According to TMZ, the 25-year-old was at a party in West Hollywood following her friend's birthday celebration at Saddle Ranch earlier in the night, and per their sources, told her dealer

Recently we learned the Confident singer had made a special trip to Chicago to see a psychiatric specialist.

Now we're hearing she's following that up with an extended stay in rehab which will cost her months of touring — and possibly save her life.

A source told E! News:

"She will be in rehab for several months and is doing an extensive program to ensure she gets the help she needs."

The insider says Demi's program involves some degree of isolation and that she "hasn't been in communication with anyone and is really focusing on herself."

That includes friends and… whatever Wilmer Valderrama is to her right now.

Demi Lovato just left rehab — but fear not! It's for what appears to be a very, very good reason.

Sources with first-hand knowledge of the singer's movements told TMZ Friday morning that the singer left her current rehab facility to fly overnight to Chicago so she can meet with a specialist who may be able to help her above what rehab can do.

Demi Lovato Cancels Remaining Tour Dates After Checking Into Rehab

Probably a good call.

Days after checking into a rehab facility, Demi Lovato has canceled the remaining shows on her Tell Me You Love Me tour.

The Sober singer scrapped her stops in Mexico, where she was set to perform September 20 and 22, as well as her six-city tour in Chile, Argentina, and Brazil scheduled for November.

Live Nation and Lotus Productions will make refunds available beginning Friday. The companies said they "wish Demi Lovato the best now and in the future and we hope to see her soon in South America."

The announcement comes days after the 25-year-old left Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in El Lay following her apparent overdose last month. She's currently outside of California at one of the country's leading facilities for addiction where she'll stay for an extended period of time.

We're glad she's putting her health first.
