Kate Winslet kept it simple and elegant at the opening night of Impact: 50 Years of the CFDA at the Fashion Institute of Technology Thursday night.
The British lovely looked sleek in her long sleeved St. John LBD, coupled together with black Roger Vivier peep toe heels and silver earrings and cuff.

There are new changes being made by the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
The CFDA released an updated set of their guidelines to ensure models are healthy before walking during NY Fashion Week.
Among the new set of rules is that no model under the age of 16 will be allowed to participate in fashion week.
The CFDA’s president Diane von Furstenberg and Steven Kolb released the following statement:
New York designers are trying to impress the rich in China.
So Affinity China, a company that describes itself as “a concierge service that connects rich Mainlanders with luxury brands, real estate companies and experts on Ivy League college admissions when they travel abroad” is bringing Chinese tourists to NY.
Well, that was the plan at least.

Barack Obama is getting some help for the 2012 Presidential election from a group of fashion designers.
The new campaign, called Runway to Win, features 22 designers which will create items to help raise funds for the election campaign.

Kourtney Kardashian didn't let her pregnancy get in the way of having a stylish New Year's Eve this weekend.
The 32 year old rang in 2012 with her babies' daddy Scott Disick at Chateau Nightclub showing off a lot of leg and boob in a black sequin Diane von Furstenberg dress.
Kourt was also carrying a Judith Leiber clutch that momager Kris Jenner gave her for Christmas.
