Bottlenose dolphins are so crazy smart and cute we want to be friends with one!
We'd swim into the ocean and introduce ourselves, then, the craziest part is, they could introduce themselves to us: by telling us their name!!
Of course we'd only understand it if we spoke dolphinese but it's still a pretty cool fact.
A recent study published in the Proceedings of the Royal Society B found that bottlenose dolphins have signature whistles and can use the signature whistles of other dolphins.
A bottlenose dolpin off of Dana Point, Ca is currently morning over her dead calf, and while she's filled with sorrow, she doesn't plan on letting go of her baby anytime soon, so she's been carrying her tot on her back for several days now.
The footage of the funeral procession was captured by Captain David Anderson while he was hosting a Whale Watching Safari, and even though it was a sad sight, Anderson kept his composure and explained that he had never seen this type of behavior.
