Dr. Phil Sued By Former Employee For False Imprisonment — Find Out How Many Workers McGraw Allegedly Locked Up In Cray Lawsuit Deets!
Dr. Phil may be having a resurgence in quality thanks to high-profile interviews with Kim Richards, Buffy The Vampire Slayer's Nicholas Brendon, and several people involved in the Jared Fogle sex crimes case, but that doesn't mean everything is as smooth behind the scenes.
After rumors of mass firings within Dr. Phil McGraw's staff surfaced back in October, a recent lawsuit against the daytime talk show host makes things with the show sound even worse than we originally thought.
Former segment director Leah Rothman is reportedly suing the TV personality, his company Peteski Productions, and CBS itself for false imprisonment and emotional distress!
Apparently, when news stories about employee turmoil at the syndicated show began leaking, Dr. Phil allegedly ordered his entire staff of 300 to enter a locked room and forfeit over their phones.
Even Leah was called in on her day off to get locked into the room!
The director had worked on the show since 2003 felt she had no other choice but to quit in April 2015 due to her hostile work environment, claiming Dr. Phil actually enjoyed scaring his team!
The rest of her lawsuit includes charges of whistle blower retaliation and wrongful constructive termination, and we don't blame her — this sounds terrifying!

It looks like Nicholas Brendon is now ready to confront his demons.
On Tuesday, the troubled actor returned to the show with a different attitude — this time, opening up about his suicide attempt triggered by his substance abuse.
Brendon revealed that he mixed alcohol and sleeping pills to deal with his intense anxiety and depression, which turned into a suicide attempt on September 22.
He said he also tried to cut his wrists "with a steak knife." After Dr. Phil asked if he wanted to die that day, the actor responded:

This could be a good first step in a long road to recovery.
The Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Criminal Minds star notably walked off the set of Dr. Phil in the middle of an interview just a few months ago, unwilling to confront his problems and find a solution with Dr. Phil.
Recently, things seem to be improving somewhat for the 44-year-old TV star, as he underwent a 90-day program in a rehab facility, and came out with a very different attitude.
Now the TV doc is going to give the troubled TV star another shot!

Dr. Phil's interview with the first victim of Jared Fogle's sex scandal victims to come forward aired on Thursday, and we are still so grossed out.
The victim — going only by Analissa — is now 16 but describes in the interview what happened to her when she was just 14 years old.
At the time she frequently hung out at the house of Russell Taylor, the head of Jared's children's charity.
Not only did Taylor buy the underage Analissa and several other girls liquor, but he also got WAY inappropriate with them!
Dr. Phil To Air Interview With First Identified Victim Of Jared Fogle's Sex Scandal — Who Was Filmed With Hidden Cameras When She Was 14
She's got a lot of courage.
Jared Fogle's sex scandal is absolutely disgusting and heinous.
Well it seems the talk show host isn't done investigating what really went down with Jared and his charity organization.
Next Thursday, Dr. Phil will air an interview with the first identified victim from the Fogle sex scandal.
The young woman, who is only identified by the name Analissa, claims she was a victim of Russell Taylor — the former Executive Director of The Jared Foundation — when she was only 14! She told Dr. Phil:
Possible Light Sentence For Jared Fogle Causes Angry Citizens To Take Action — See What They're Doing About It HERE!
We can't say we totally disagree!
Disgraced Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle is an absolutely despicable human being.
After being suspected of having child pornography, and an FBI investigation, the 38-year-old confessed to soliciting sexual acts from at least 14 victims — to which he's paid $1 million as part of a plea.
Well since then Judge Tanya Pratt has reportedly received quite a few letters from people expressing their anger and frustration with the plea deal, which would reportedly see Fogle imprisoned for anywhere from 5-12 years.
The main point of contention is the letter writers feel that 5-12 years is not NEARLY long enough for the heinous acts the former spokesperson committed.
Some of the angry citizens bring up some interesting points such as
The Second Half Of Dr. Phil's Jared Fogle Special Reveals How The Former Subway Spokesman Picked His Victims — And How He Was Finally Caught!
We knew it was only going to get worse, but this is downright vile.
Well, on Friday's second half of the two-part sit-down with journalist Rochelle Herman-Walrond, the tapes revealed even more disgusting details about how the former Subway spokesperson chose and isolated his victims.
Apparently, Jared thought that boys and girls around Middle School age were the easiest targets because they were already exploring themselves sexually, so he'd simply wait to see which kids kept eye contact with him and then proceed to get 'touchy-feely.'
In addition to the perverted details of his crimes, the interview also pointed out that Rochelle had a false relationship with Jared for five years, and although she alerted the FBI to his activities, because she never got a name, they couldn't arrest him.
However, Rochelle finally had information she could use when Jared told her that he wanted to fondle her son and daughter!
