An apple a day may keep the doctor away, but fake, hurtful stories don't!
According to the Daily Mail, Dr. Phil has filed a $250 million defamation lawsuit against American Media (AMI) — the company that owns the National Enquirer — for publishing 80 false stories over 13 years, notably about him and wife Robin McGraw's marriage.
The daytime star has had enough of the BS and wants the company to pay! He said:
"Enough is enough, it's time for them to own up… As a member of the media, I have a deep respect for the First Amendment. But it does not protect these people who knowingly print lies for money, particularly lies about my wife."
According to his lawyer L. Lin Wood, the company deserves to go under for what they do to society!
Muva has officially arrived!
The model-turned-host confirmed the news in a statement Tuesday morning, saying:
Nick Gordon Emotionally Opens Up About Bobbi Kristina's Tragic Drowning — Reveals The Late Starlet Struggled With Depression After Two Miscarriages
This is so intense.
On Wednesday, Nick Gordon opened up about his late love Bobbi Kristina's tragic drowning which led to her eventual death months later. How sad!
As you may know, back in January 2015, the R&B scion was found face down and unresponsive in the bathtub — which is eerily similar to the same way her mother Whitney Houston died. In a sit down with DailyMail, Nick emotionally talked about what exactly went down the hours before B.K.'s passing and about their drug use as a couple.
"I blame myself for not getting to Krissy quick enough that day. I can't blame myself for another addict's addiction but I feel like I failed her. She didn't make it. I wish she got help. I wish she got my spot [in rehab]. I did not protect her the way that I was supposed to – even if it was from herself."
In case you forgot, Nick sought treatment after Dr. Phil held an intervention for him last year. The late celebutante's fiancé is slated to appear on the celebrity doctor's show again this Thursday and Friday.
In addition to his addiction problems, Nick has been under intense scrutiny for his actions surrounding Krissy's tragic accident. While the police cannot determine another person was involved in causing Bobbi's death, her father Bobby Brown is convinced that Nick is to blame for her demise. Gordon has since called this lawsuit "bullsh*t".
In regards to the hours leading up to Miz Brown's death, Nick explained:
Dr. Phil Asks Nick Gordon Point Blank If He Murdered Bobbi Kristina In New Interview — Watch The Tense Preview!
While there is a lot of speculation around Bobbi's boyfriend Nick Gordon possibly being involved in her death in some way, an autopsy report found no evidence that he was involved.
Gordon's legal team already responded to the findings, but the 20-year old is still looking to clear his name as he's set to appear on Dr. Phil again.
Bobbie's boyfriend previously sat down with the good doctor shortly after his girlfriend was found unconscious and had an incredibly emotional interview where he threatened suicide. This time around, things are just as intense as Phil asks the young man straight up if he murdered Bobbi Kristina!

The TV psychologist sat down with James Corden on The Late Late Show on Monday and made his thoughts about the All Day rapper perfectly clear… that he thinks Yeezus is just plain "stupid." Oh snap!
In case you forgot, Kim Kardashian West's husband has been actively taking to Twitter to rant about everything — including his supposed $53 million debt situation. Not to mention, the fashion designer also had a recent backstage meltdown at Saturday Night Live which raised some eyebrows!
While the always sweet late night host attempted to get Phil's professional opinion on Kanye's well being, it seems that the daytime TV personality is not buying.

Dr. Phil Sued By Former Employee For False Imprisonment — Find Out How Many Workers McGraw Allegedly Locked Up In Cray Lawsuit Deets!
Dr. Phil may be having a resurgence in quality thanks to high-profile interviews with Kim Richards, Buffy The Vampire Slayer's Nicholas Brendon, and several people involved in the Jared Fogle sex crimes case, but that doesn't mean everything is as smooth behind the scenes.
After rumors of mass firings within Dr. Phil McGraw's staff surfaced back in October, a recent lawsuit against the daytime talk show host makes things with the show sound even worse than we originally thought.
Former segment director Leah Rothman is reportedly suing the TV personality, his company Peteski Productions, and CBS itself for false imprisonment and emotional distress!
Apparently, when news stories about employee turmoil at the syndicated show began leaking, Dr. Phil allegedly ordered his entire staff of 300 to enter a locked room and forfeit over their phones.
Even Leah was called in on her day off to get locked into the room!
The director had worked on the show since 2003 felt she had no other choice but to quit in April 2015 due to her hostile work environment, claiming Dr. Phil actually enjoyed scaring his team!
The rest of her lawsuit includes charges of whistle blower retaliation and wrongful constructive termination, and we don't blame her — this sounds terrifying!

It looks like Nicholas Brendon is now ready to confront his demons.
On Tuesday, the troubled actor returned to the show with a different attitude — this time, opening up about his suicide attempt triggered by his substance abuse.
Brendon revealed that he mixed alcohol and sleeping pills to deal with his intense anxiety and depression, which turned into a suicide attempt on September 22.
He said he also tried to cut his wrists "with a steak knife." After Dr. Phil asked if he wanted to die that day, the actor responded:
