Shark finning, the cruel process of removing the fins off sharks then throwing them back into the water, has recently been banned in places like California and Toronto.
Many celebs have back this decision, including, Leonardo DiCaprio, Edward Norton, January Jones and Richard Branson.
What's great is the European Union may be hopping on the ban bandwagon and ban shark finning themselves.
The ban would prohibit all boats in EU waters as well as any EU-registered boats from finning sharks.
A rep from the EU Fisheries office said:
"We want to end the horrendous practice of shark finning and protect sharks much better.
When these proposals come before MEPs, I have no doubt that a few countries will seek to water them down. However, we will push for a rigorous ban. We need a ban on finning that enables fishermen to catch sharks in a way that puts conservation and humane treatment before making a quick buck."
Hopefully they join the rest of us in saving sharks and putting a stop to this cruel practice.

Yao Ming has a new PSA about the cruelty of shark fin soup.
Shark finning is a cruel practice where the fins are cut off of sharks, many of which are still alive when it happens.
So terrible.
In California, there is a bill that would ban the sale, trade and possession of shark fins.
Aside from Yao Ming, other celebs like Leonardo DiCaprio, Edward Norton and more, have written a letter to California Governor Jerry Brown, urging him to sign the bill into law.
Check out the above video for a PSA about shark finning.
Save the sharks!

Good choice!
Last we heard about the upcoming Bourne movie, Jeremy Renner was cast as the new lead, and Rachel Weisz was up for the role of the next Bourne girl!
Now, both Renner and Weisz are confirmed for the movie, and Ed Norton is in negotiations to play the bad guy.
Ed is always at his best when he taps into his dark side in movies, such as American History X and Fight Club, so we def think he'd be great in this role. Let's hope he gets it!
What do U think about all the Bourne casting choices? Do U agree with them?

Whoops! Were you supposed to spill those romantic beans, girl? We think not!
While attending an event in NYC, Courtney Love announced to sources that she was happy to hear that Ed Norton had finally popped the question to his girlfriend of six years, film producer Shauna Robertson. Thing is, until she mentioned, no one had known anything about it, but it didn't stop her from sharing her thoughts on her former fiance's upcoming nuptials. He revealed that Ed asked Shauna to marry him three weeks ago while the pair traveled to India and Courtney insisted that they better get started on growing their family not that they are official. She explained:
"Wow, it's about time. He's 41, they've been together for six years. He needs to have babies. I wonder what kind of ring he got her? He bought me a ruby."
Rubies are nice…diamonds are forever! Hopefully, that's what will be dangling on her finger when the duo clear up this little announcement for Court's.
Though the moment might be spoiled, we're still really happy for them. Congrats, you two! Live long and happily together!
