Kanye appeared on BBC Radio 1 on Thursday to discuss everything going on in his life recently.
The 37-year-old rapper became
In case you hadn't heard, former cast member Norm Macdonald explained that Eddie backed off of the controversial sketch idea.
And the gesture did not go unnoticed.
Though Cosby has remained mostly silent throughout the storm of allegations — apart from the occasional off-color joke — he did have something to say to Eddie.
Through a spokesperson, Cosby told the media:
The Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special was chock-full of stars, including cast members from yesterday and today.
But why did he do so little? We mean, he didn't even do a sketch!
Well, according to fellow former castmate Norm Macdonald, he was supposed to do one — and it was going to be the most controversial of the night!
So why didn't we see Eddie as Bill Cosby during the Celebrity Jeopardy sketch?
Norm took to Twitter to explain the sketch idea — and why Eddie backed out:
How in the world did they orchestrate this?!
Saturday Night Live is celebrating it's 40th anniversary on February 15th, and you won't believe the lineup they have!
This isn't even close to the full lineup of people who will be taking center stage though!
P.S. Don't forget to tune in at 8pm EST on NBC!
This is amazing!!!
Eddie Murphy was one of the BEST cast members in the entire history of Saturday Night Live but the legendary comedian hasn't been on the show since he hosted an episode way back on December 15th, 1984.
So basically it's been thirty years!
But with SNL's 40th anniversary coming up — the actor has decided that it's been long enough, and he'll be a part of a three hour special that will feature other prominent cast members throughout this storied show's historic run!
Here's what he recently said in an interview:
He's going to put on an iron shirt, and chase this new track right out of Earth!
Eddie Murphy is known mostly for his comedic chops although he's been a bit of a recluse these days, however Eddie is planning on returning to the limelight.
The music limelight!
Eddie Murphy has ventured into the music waters before with his favorite eighties track Party All the Time and his reggae infused song with Snoop Lion called Red Light.
However this new track seems to be all Eddie all the time and will be a Rastafarian song!
The song is titled Oh Jah Jah and will be available on iTunes on January 27th.
Although don't expect Eddie to only pump out reggae songs just because his last two could be placed in that category. He once said in an interview
What intriguing timing!
Remember when Eddie Murphy & Rick James joined forces in 1985 on Party All the Time?
Ch-ch-check out the glorious goop gal's riveting rendition (above)!
Whoa! We wonder if her fondness for partying all the time was a factor in the couple's split?
Either way, we're just glad she wasn't singing a Coldplay song! That would've been SUPER awks!!
Watch Glee tonight at 8:00 pm!
As if there was any doubt!
While Dreamworks has yet to go public with their timetable, the company's CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg has just reassured the world that the fiercely funny animated fairy tale will get at least one more sequel!
Sure, it's been four years since Shrek Forever After stormed into theaters, but apparently that's all part of their master plan!
Mr. Katzenberg confessed:
