Uber is ready to take to the sky!

According to Wired, the ride sharing app is eager to launch UberAIR as a way for consumers to combat exhaustive traffic. The company went public with its "flying cars" idea a little over a year ago and, since then, they've become more dedicated to the idea.

So what is UberAIR and what does it entail?? In short, customers would be picked up on the roof of a tall building and would then step into a helicopter hybrid to be whisked away over the standstill of cars. Or, at least, that's the dream.

However, this dream may come into fruition sooner than later as Uber has made deals to run some kind of "air" service in both Dallas and Dubai. Not to mention, the company also announced this week that they want to launch flying cars in Los Angeles by 2020. Oh, and they'd like a real commercial service to be up an running a handful years after the '20 launch. Whoa.

Be sure to ch-ch-check out the company's announcement video for yourself (below).

UPDATE 8:18 P.M. EST: The teacher being held hostage has been identified by family as 70-year-old Linda Montgomery.

What a nightmare!

Castle View Elementary School in Riverside, California, became the site of a hostage situation Tuesday afternoon; thankfully no children are involved.

According to reports from inside the school, a father had some sort of violent altercation with a male staff member, possibly giving him a bloody nose.

The man, who according to family members has a daughter in first grade at the school, barricaded himself into a classroom with a female teacher just after 11 a.m.

It's unclear if the man is armed. A small amount of smoke was seen coming from the classroom, but it since dissipated and isn't believed to be an incendiary device.

The man's uncle told ABC7 he has "no access" to weapons and is just having "an emotional breakdown." They apparently took his car keys away, but he was able to get to the school anyway. See that interview (below):

Kevin Spacey may not have been fired from his main gig on House Of Cards — YET — as Netflix can't seem to decide between giving the show a final season or suspending it altogether.

But it looks like at least one of the Oscar-winner's jobs is over after Anthony Rapp's allegations of making sexual advances toward him when he was just 14.

MasterClass, the company which creates online courses taught by successful celebs like Martin Scorsese, Shonda Rhimes, and Samuel L. Jackson, has announced that class is canceled, telling Variety:

"In light of recent events, MasterClass has closed enrollment in Kevin Spacey's online class."

The course description is still on the website for the moment, but users can no longer enroll. Spacey's class included about five hours of content over 28 videos, including — for select members — individual performance critiques.

Yeah, we're guessing no one would want that now anyway…
