After the host and singer chatted about how much they look and dress alike, the 23-year-old played a rapid-fire round of Who'd You Rather — where he selected his dream date from a batch of sexy singers!
Now that the singer is doing a bit better (she's currently promoting her song for Bridget Jones's Baby), she was able to discuss what trigged her emotional slump.
According to the hit maker, constant touring and being overly "emotionally aware" put her in a very vulnerable position:
"Since I was young I remember being quite emotionally aware. I could tune in to how I was feeling and understand if I was being irrational, or understand if I was overthinking something. Overthinking can destroy you. I was diagnosed with exhaustion a couple of months back, but it's only now that I realise how bad it really was. When I think back to my tiredness, my slump, not wanting to exercise and not being interested in anything… It wasn't depression, it was just my body giving up."
Well, overthinking often leads to anxiety… it's unfortunately pretty common!
The entertainer then went on to describe the low point of her condition, revealing:
Per the report, Goulding wants to give fans the BEST show possible so she's sidelining herself until she makes a full recovery. The beauty hopes to bounce back with a combination of exercise and natural remedies.
An insider revealed to the mag:
"Ellie's body clock is completely out of sync and she has found herself lying awake in bed most nights unable to get to sleep. All the traveling through random time zones has messed with her system. She just can't get to sleep at night, and even when she's back in England the insomnia is sapping her energy. She's worried about it as she doesn't want to be tired before going on stage. She's a professional and wants to give her fans the best performances possible."
Aww! That doesn't sound fun at all. It's nice to hear E.G. is taking the time to reset, especially considering Heath Ledger's death was partially caused by exhaustion and the pills he took to cope with insomnia.
Luckily for Ellie, she's doing all she can do to be back at the top of her game:
"Ellie's had a couple of weeks off now and is hoping she can beat her insomnia through exercise and natural remedies."
Here's to hoping Ms. Goulding overcomes her health issues ASAP! Get better, girl!
Lorde recently related her Uber ride experience Tuesday and it was rather hilarious, considering her driver didn't recognize her, but spent the entire ride telling her about ANOTHER celebrity he'd just picked up right before her.
The industry vet later explained that he read a report where a drug overdose was fingered as Erin's potential cause of death and had no clue about Erin's cancer diagnosis, which is why he was so cold about her passing during his Bernie & Sid radio interview.
Regardless, Erin's brother Tony isn't too eager to forgive the 56-year-old as he took to Facebook and posted:
