Mahiki, a tiki-themed club on Dover Street in London is working alongside PETA to enforce a fur bar ban!
Because when did animal hair and pints of beer really mix anyway…
The popular hot spot, for both celebrities and fashion designers, is realizing they have the potential to make a difference when it comes to the cruel and inhumane treatment of animals — by not allowing anyone entrance into the club if they're wearing real fur!
PETA has apparently
Divas do it RIGHT!
Mariah Carey lived up to every aspect of her primadonna reputation at the Empire State Building's Iconic Tower Lights to Sparkle in Red and Pink to Kick-off Weddings event in NYC this afternoon.
The singer could've worn a cute A-line dress or shift to the occasion, but instead opted to go full glam with a crisp white gown, white gloves, and fluffy fur stole!
She basically looked like a bride, which was perfectly on-trend since she was there to light up the building for the three couples who won a chance to wed there on Valentine's Day (AKA, tomorrow)!
Mimi completed her outfit with silver Louboutin pumps, sparkly drop earrings, and wavy locks.

All is well in the world again because Lindsay Lohan's insanely expensive fur jacket is missing no more!!!
Linds was clubbing at NYC's 1 Oak last week when she claimed one piece of her $75,000 two-piece fur coat went M.I.A.
While the club called bullshiz on the starlet, it turns out she really did leave the lux item behind, but it's now safely back on her back thanks to Seahawks player Sidney Rice.
Sid found the item, took it back to his crib for safekeeping, and contacted Linds' posse to come hunt down her beloved fur.
What a great guy!
While the beefy athlete might've been benched for the Super Bowl due to injuries, he's still MVP in LiLo's book. And that's what really matters, right?! HA!
No fear of hypothermia here!
Rihanna bundled up in a HUGE vintage fur coat on her way to her photo-bombing Good Morning America appearance in NYC yesterday.
The pop princess had her hair and makeup done, but waited until she got inside to change out of her sweatpants and Nike sneakers.
We know she's willing to be uncomfortable for fashion sometimes, but there's no point in suffering frost bite for it.
Stay warm, RiRi!

Well, at least the polar vortex gives Anna Wintour an actual reason to wear fur…
…except she's in Paris and it's not even particularly cold there.
The Vogue editor was psychedelic in a black and electric blue fur coat worn over a floral print Marni dress as she arrived to the Giambattista Valli Couture spring 2014 presentation in Paris on Monday.
The very next day she put on a gingham Prada coat with massive fur cuffs to catch the Chanel Couture presentation.
The second look isn't so bad, but that first look is jarring. Cruella de Vil is her spirit animal!

We knew it was only a matter of time till we saw Yeezy front-row at a fashion show!
He can't quit them!
Kanye West attended the Givenchy menswear presentation in Paris today, sandwiched between Noomi Rapace and Carine Roitfeld, and looking like he just got back from an Arctic expedition.
That fur coat is out of control!
Kanye kept doubly warm by wearing the coat over a hoodie and leather pants. How high was the A/C cranked up in that place, anyway?!
But all that matters is that Nori's daddy was sufficiently warm and toasty.
BTW, he should use this opportunity to talk to Riccardo Tisci about that Nike deal!

Fashion has long had a controversial relationship with fur, but the latest Fendi collection may have taken things too far.
The entire runway (above) for the A/W 2014 menswear presentation during Milan Fashion Week yesterday was COVERED in black goat fur!
It just seems pretty gratuitous!
Then again, Fendi has never shied away from using fur in unnecessary ways, including on sunglasses! Check out their ads for the fall 2013 season in the gallery (below) for proof.
So, should we really be surprised that they'd roll out a fur carpet for a runway show???
We're not naive enough to believe that fashion will give up its deep fur love anytime soon, but we wish the use of it wasn't always so wasteful as in this example.
