Sweet! He's getting back to what is really important - the music!

This morning, George Michael announced that later this year, he will be embarking on a 47-date tour, his first tour since 2008.

These shows will be extra special as George plans to be accompanied by a full orchestra in venues like the Royal Opera House in London and perform re-arranged versions of his most famous songs. During his press conference, he explained further:

"I've always wanted to sing with this kind of backing so I could really, really use my voice and not just concentrate on keeping thousands and thousands of people really excited for two and a half hours. I've probably got one more of those tours in me but right now I'd like to do something slightly different."

Sounds like a plan! We hope its a huge success…and keeps you out of trouble! Perhaps the best rehab for you would be to focus on your craft and creating something new from the incredible work you've already done. Here's hoping!

This morning, George Michael was spotted in central London, filming an interview with Piers Morgan. The pair were covering, what else, the preparations for the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, but no word if George is planning to sing the song he wrote for the occasion at any point during the next 24 hours.

Here's hoping!

The big day is almost here and thousands of people are contributing as much as possible to the royal wedding.

Prince William and Catherine (Kate) Middleton have set up a charity wedding fund so that people can donate £££ in lieu of sending wedding gifts.

Seems like people have been beyond generous as the fund has generated donations somewhere in the six figures.

With just a little over a week away, the numbers are sure to rise, especially with George Michael urging fans to contribute when they download his wedding gift to the couple, a version of Stevie Wonder's You and I.

It's so wonderful that Wills and Kate are using their special day as an opportunity to raise money for charity. And we're even more impressed at how much the public has donated.

Sooooo excited for the big day!

During the week, George Michael revealed via his Twitter that he wanted to record a song to commemorate the upcoming royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. He had asked his fans for suggestions, but as we learned from George last night on his appearance on Piers Morgan Tonight, he actually picked this song himself.

Consider it a "wedding gift"!

On his Twitter page yesterday, George Michael announced that he's had the royal wedding on the brain and wanted to do something special to commemorate the happy day for Prince William and Kate Middleton. He reached out to his followers for a brainstorming session, posting in multiple tweets:

"I have been thinking about Will and Kate…. and I'm so happy for William… the whole country is getting ready to party! Let's have our own celebration twitter style…..

Instead of Song of the Day, let's pick a song I can give to you on here sometime this week. I'll grab my piano player and bob's your uncle… Wedding gift and bank holiday thank u to my twitter lovelies rolled into one.

I'll do the vocals at home… Come on boyz n girls…what song should it be? Oh and it can't be one of mine, they are all a bit too sad….no sniggering and agreeing, you at the back!"

After getting what we imagine were dozens of good ideas, George revealed he had decided on a "beautiful song," and would unveil his rendition of it on Friday!

Exciting! Staying tuned for that!

All right! It's about time!

George Michael, who hasn't done much original material since 2004's Patience, announced today via Twitter that his brand new single will be called Every Other Lover In The World, and he will be going on tour to promote his upcoming album soon!

Amazing!

He writes:

Hey everyone two things to titillate the loyal,just finished new single, Produced with @ stereogamous..called Every Other Lover In The World

And finalising tour dates, details very soon!

Have some amazing venues lined up, not your usual arena tour, something way more special…:)

Full on house track, hope u are all ready….

Oh, I forgot to mention…I meant next fucking single and fucking exciting tour news ahead! ( can't believe I forgot…:)

Must remember….if it's important, swear!

The former Wham! singer has released a cover of the classic True Faith in the UK for the British charity Comic Relief.

And it's so lovely!

Well, we guess that settles that confusion!

Reports surfaced this morning that George Michael and his partner of 15 years, Kenny Goss, had broken up due to the singer's issues with drugs, but apparently, it couldn't be farther from the truth!

An insider allegedly reported:

'There are only so many second chances Kenny was prepared to give. He's been loyal to George from day one, but that hasn't always been reciprocated. It's really sad, but hopefully this could be the wake-up call George needs.'

However, Michael himself took to Twitter and wrote:

'Would someone Tweet 5wrightstuff and tell them the Sun is lying through its teeth as usual.'

And he must have been extra upset about the whole thing, because he then called the station and told them personally:

'It is complete bullshit about myself and Kenny breaking up. Don't believe this story. We've had our problems but he's never had a problem with my lifestyle. I love Kenny very much.'

Phew! We were going to say that after everything Michael has been through, it would seem strange to us that Kenny would leave him NOW!

Glad to hear that they're still going strong, and that this whole matter's been cleared up!
