Kanye West may have worn a suit and tie for his red carpet walk at the Met Gala on Monday night, but when it came time to perform, he brought out the big guns.

Clad in perforated leather pants, sparkly top, and pleated leather skirt, all by Givenchy, natch, Yeezy serenaded his baby momma Kim Kardashian in front of hundreds of well-heeled guests.

Aww! That Ye's such a romantic, isn't he?

We thought his leather skirt-wearing days were over, since he asked all photo agencies to remove the pics of him performing in his Givenchy kilt a few months ago.

Guess he felt safe this go-round without any professional photogs hovering around.

But doesn't he know everyone has a camera phone and Instagram account these days?

Still, though, wearing a leather skirt on stage? That's pretty punk rock!

Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine eschewed punk for goth at the Met Gala on Monday night.

The singer turned to one of her trusted faves, Givenchy, for the event, looking vampy-chic in an opulent black number with seksi center slit and dramatic fringed sleeves.

Her gorgeous red mane and porcelain skin were the PERFECT accessories.

This is one of her best looks EVER! A+!

Does anyone do it better than Madonna?!

Many might not like her over-the-top punk look at the Met Gala, but at least Madonna sure as hell went for it!

From the striking black wig to the Givenchy plaid getup, black gloves, fishnet, chains, spikes, thigh highs and hot pink high heels, Madonna is putting those other punk wannabes to shame!

Seriously, we knew we could rely on Madge to pull through on the theme even if some of the other ladiez totes dropped the ball.

Face it, there's no topping the queen!

Especially when she leaves her pants at home!

Beyoncé made a grand entrance to the Met Gala, walking in fashionably late with her very own train handler.

Because, DUH!!!

Mrs. Carter got her glam on in a strapless Givenchy gown with high thigh-slit, beaded bodice, and over-the-knee boots that matched the print on her skirt.

It's definitely not punk (although she tried with that studded belt), but it's classic Bey, and it WORKS!

The new face of Givenchy wore Givenchy to the Met Gala!

Amanda Seyfried did not impress with her loud, long-sleeved gown and its floor-sweeping train. Call us crazy, but the splattered-paint print doesn't work well on anything that isn't a wall.

We kinda wish the actress had gone for a more literal interpretation, rocking some studs and spikes and dark, dramatic makeup.

What the punk?! Rooney Mara isn't wearing black!

We can hardly believe our eyes!

The actress and co-chair along with Riccardo Tisci predictably wore Givenchy to the Met Gala, but her ruffled, lacy gown screams more bridal than punk.

Maybe if she'd taken a pocket knife and slashed it up a little, it'd be more hardcore.

As it stands now, it just makes us think of lace doilies.

Rooney's severely pulled back hairdo and purple lips had a punky vibe, but since she always has that same hair and makeup look, we're not sure if it was part of the theme or not.

Not loving it!

Isn't it inneresting how the paps ALWAYS know where Kim Kardashian is?

They must have Kim radar or something!

The Kimbryo vessel was spotted in NYC with BFF Jonathan Cheban on Sunday only a day after her appearance at Sears in Texas.

Kimmy satisfied her pregnancy cravings in Soho before heading back to her hotel, and since she's in New York, you know what that means, right?

She's totally going to the Met Gala tonight!!!

And you can bet her outfit for fashion's Oscars will be a doozy!

Just look at what she wears on a regular day out to lunch — sheer black dress, Valentino leather jacket, those painful Givenchy caged heels, and a quilted Chanel shoulder bag.

We cannot WAIT to see her outfit as she ascends the carpeted Met steps.

We're trembling with anticipation!
