Prince Sources Confirm Painkiller Addiction As Feds Are Reportedly Investigating — Get The Scoop!

It has now been one week since Prince tragically lost his life and we still can't believe it.

While there has been plenty to talk about in the wake of the singer's death, one of the more controversial topics surrounding the death has been the circumstances in which he died and whether or not painkillers were involved.

Before Prince's passing, he was involved in an incident where his plane had to make an emergency landing and the legendary rock star was allegedly treated for a drug overdose. In fact, it was later reported that the Grammy winner OD'd on the painkiller Percocet!

Since then, there has been a lot of conflicting reports as people have taken different sides about the rumored overdose, but now there are more sources linked to the rocker's family that have come forward! The insiders told TMZ that

On Sunday, it was revealed that soul singer Billy Paul passed away in his home due to a serious medical condition. He was 81 years old.

Not much time passed after Prince's death last week before details started pouring in about his final moments and what exactly happened at Paisley Park.

While we won't have a lot of the answers until the singer's autopsy results come in, we are still learning a few details about what circumstances may have triggered the 57-year-old's death.

Prince's tragic passing had an impact on a ton of people from his protégées to his fans and celebrities.

Well last night, late night hosts Stephen Colbert, James Corden, and Jimmy Kimmel all got their chance to pay tribute to the incredible artist in their own way.

Unfortunately, Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Fallon, and Seth Meyers are all on hiatus this week, but the rest of the late night hosts did an incredible job!

Though it was simple, Kimmel honored the legendary rock star by mentioning him in his monologue and having his band play Prince songs throughout the show.

Both Stephen and James decided to take a moment during their shows to address the musician's death and even chatted it up with his guest Tom Hanks about the Purple Rain singer!

Prince's Albums Soar To #1 On iTunes Following An Emotional Statement From The Recording Academy

Prince's music is sure to stand the test of time.

On Thursday, the icon's albums The Very Best of Prince, Purple Rain, and The Hits/The B-Sides took the top three spots on iTunes. The musician's hit single Purple Rain is currently at No. 7 on the list of top songs.

Given the outpouring of respect and love for the singer since his untimely passing, we're not surprised to see his music soar to the top of the charts. We have a feeling this will continue to be the trend for days to come.
