The girls are back in town!
As you may remember, Lauren Bennett, Emmalyn Estrada, Natasha Slayton, and Paula van Oppen tried to keep the girl group together after the sudden suicide, but after releasing their musical tribute Lighthouse in honor of the late singer, they decided to go their separate ways.
Now, about a year after they first called it quits, a message on their management website has us pretty convinced the girls are getting the band back together!
In fact, the Robin Antin-formed Ugly Heart singers are pretty much guaranteed a reunion thanks to this simple note:
Well, the fans were right — the girl group's disbandment is officially confirmed!
Representatives from the British pop group released the following statement on Tuesday:
It looks like G.R.L. will no longer be a girl group!
Over the weekend, fans noticed that two of the Ugly Heart songstresses had changed their social media accounts — a sign hinting that the group had split.
Group members Emmalyn Estrada and Paula van Oppen's Twitter handles no longer include "GRL" — and Paula's has been completely changed from @GRLPaula to @eyesthatlightup!
And if that wasn't enough proof, founding member Lauren Bennett may have confirmed that the group was done with this cryptic message:
This completely breaks our heart!
Now, the rest of the G.R.L. ladies are paying tribute to their fallen sister by releasing the video for Lighthouse featuring clips and photos of Battle during her happiest moments.
It's so sad what money can make people do.
At the time, Simone only had a few thousand dollars in her bank account, but she had a lot more on the way.
Due to contracts with Sony, Coca-Cola, and other companies, Simone's family could stand to inherit a large sum of her money, but there's a catch.
Simone's mother Donna Morgan has to be officially named the administrator of Simone's estate first. Her application is currently pending.
But it just goes to show that problems are only temporary, and sometimes a solution is right around the corner. So sad.

Thank goodness she left behind so many musical memories!
Besides leaving behind the music she and her group made, Simone
This just gets more and more heartbreaking.
While her family wasn't exactly specific with the details, it appears as if they believed she was depressed over money issues.
She must've hid her feelings pretty well since her dad admitted he didn't realize something was wrong with his daughter.
Simone's family didn't quite understand how she had issues since she was part of a successful group, but others close to the singer said she was also frustrated with the fact that she hadn't quite made it in the U.S. just yet.
Whatever the situation may be, this whole ordeal is just disheartening.
