Harrison Ford News Archive
We thought we were past Star Wars blowing our minds.
But apparently the Han Solo, um, solo movie is going to reveal things we never knew about the smuggler/rebel hero made famous by Harrison Ford!
During a talk at USC, Disney CEO Bob Iger was begged by his journalist wife Willow Bay for a scoop on the space opera franchise's future.
Even though he wouldn't reveal ANY new deets about this December's The Last Jedi, not even to the Mrs., he did answer one big question about Carrie Fisher's performance as Princess Leia, which had reportedly been completed before her tragic death.
Close call, Indy!
And based on newly released video of the controversial landing, you'd think the veteran pilot was filming a stunt for an action movie.
John Wayne Airport released footage of the onscreen and offscreen pilot's mishap on Tuesday — revealing just how low over a jetliner the 74-year-old flew.
The American Airlines 737 is seen taxiing slowly in the clip, when Ford's yellow, single-engine Aviat Husky zooms right into frame, flying slow low that it casts its shadow down on the bigger aircraft.
The Star Wars actor then landed on the taxiway, which runs parallel to the runway he was cleared to land on.
The 110 passenger American Airlines Flight departed safely for Dallas a few minutes later. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
We're glad no one was injured, but we've got to say — that landing was more suspenseful than all of the last Indiana Jones film.
Ch-ch-check out the footage for yourself (below)!
We like these odds.
Also shown manning the controls are director's Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. And let's not forget Joonas Suotamo as Chewbaca!
We have to say, with that smuggler's grin and old school Harrison hair-do, Ehrenreich certainly looks ready to woo Princess Leia!
The untitled Han Solo Star Wars story hits theaters May 25, 2018.
Harrison Ford Forgot To Switch To The Correct Control Tower & Mistakenly Referred To His Plane As A Helicopter Before Controversial Landing
Harrison Ford made several mistakes during a flight from Santa Monica Airport to LAX on February 13.
In audio obtained by TMZ, the actor can be heard repeatedly referring to his single-engine plane as a helicopter while also speaking to the wrong control tower — he had never switched to the Los Angeles tower from Santa Monica.
These mistakes preceded the 74-year-old's accidental maneuvering toward a taxiway instead of the runway where he was intended to land. Making matters worse, his plane flew over an American Airlines Dallas-bound 737 aircraft that was about to take off with 110 passengers and six-member crew on board.
The veteran pilot's mistakes with air traffic control wouldn't be considered a big deal if it wasn't for his later mistaken landing on the taxiway.
He is currently under investigation by the FAA over the incident.
These mistakes may also aggravate the matter by showing that the pilot was seemingly confused or disoriented during the flight.

Harrison Ford Reportedly Landed His Plane On The Wrong Runway — Almost Hitting Another Aircraft! Get The Scary Deets!
Harrison Ford, who is a notable pilot (minus that crash back in 2015), was involved in a potentially-serious incident on Monday when he landed his single engine private plane on the wrong runway — right near a full passenger plane! Eek!
NBC News reports the actor mistakenly aimed for a taxiway at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, and passed over the top of an American Airlines 737 loaded with 110 passengers and a six-person crew.
The passenger plane was successfully able to take off for Dallas moments later.
Wow, that could've ended very badly!!!
The 74-year-old was heard on the air traffic control recording asking:
Carrie Fisher Once Said She Wanted Harrison Ford To Sing During Her Oscars Tribute — Will This Become A Reality??
Just before Carrie Fisher unexpectedly passed away in December, the 60-year-old told the world about her affair with Harrison Ford back in 1976 when they were filming Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope (you know, when he was a married father of two).
But long before she let that cat out of the bag, she made a public request of her former paramour.
She revealed at the time:
