Michael Mantenuto, one of the stars of Disney's Miracle, is dead at 35.
He was found in his car by police in Des Moines, Washington, on Monday, dead of a gunshot wound. TMZ reports the coroner is ruling his death a suicide.
Mantenuto was one of a number of young, first-time film actors to star in the 2004 retelling of the U.S. Hockey Team's 1980 "Miracle on Ice" game against a much stronger Russian team, playing real-life Olympic star Jack O'Callahan. He was only 22 at the time.
He went on to act in a movie called Dirtbags and Matthew McConaughey's Surfer, Dude before leaving acting to join the army, ending up in the esteemed Special Forces.
Such a tragic, shocking end to his story.

As we previously reported, the 19-year-old was playing hockey with his father Alan Thicke at an ice skating rink in Burbank, California when the famous TV dad suffered a sudden heart attack.
The Growing Pains star later died at the hospital at 69 years old. But Carter initially thought his dad would pull through due to his characteristically sunny disposition.
The teen recalled the harrowing experience in a new interview with ET, admitting he thought his dad would recover once they got to the hospital. He explained:
"The ambulance came and the paramedics had stabilized him and everything seemed fine."
Carter recounted his last words to his father, who was just as perfect of a parent IRL as he was on TV, adding:
Sucks to be Justin Bieber!!
The star singer took part in a Celebrity All-Star event for the NHL's All Star Weekend that's been going on the last few days in Los Angeles, and during the game, he got to know Chris Pronger.
Chris Pronger, unlike Bieber, is an NHL stud — he is a longtime veteran of the league, and he doesn't mess around on the ice.
And so when Pronger got the chance to crush the Biebs into the boards out on the ice… well, you have to see what happened for yourself (below)!!!
