Awards! Speeches! Donald Trump jabs!
That's basically what went down during Sunday's Hollywood Film Awards.
Since the first show to kick off awards season was just a few days ahead of Super Tuesday, the celeb speeches were mostly filled with political messages — and yes, most were aimed against the GOP nominee.
Even host James Corden weighed in on the heated political climate, quipping in his monologue:
According to Wednesday night's sketch, The Late Late Show host auditioned for what turned out to be Patrick Dempsey's part — and boy does the funnyman love to dress up!
Luckily, Dempsey comes in and saves the day at the end!
Ch-ch-check out the HIGHlarious audition (below) and let us know if YOU think Renee should have cast James instead!
Talk about awkward!
While the two men talked on a WIDE range of subjects, one of our favorite moments of the night had to be when Andy started quizzing the Brit on some of his former female costars — including Renee Zellweger, Sarah Jessica Parker, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Drew Barrymore, and Julianne Moore!
During the segment, the late night host asked Hugh a series of questions about his former on-screen loves and the actor made a MAJOR mistake by
Hugh Grant is an expert about marriage — despite never marrying!
On Wednesday, the Love Actually star stopped by Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show and celebrated people (like his Florence Foster Jenkins character) who are extremely dedicated to their marriage but still have a side piece. HUH?
The 55-year-old explained:
"I always admire the French and the Italians who are very devoted to their marriages. They take them extremely seriously, but it is understood that there might be other visitors at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. You just never boast about. They never say anything, but that's what keeps marriages together."
How… romantic? We guess we shouldn't be too surprised to learn about Hugh's controversial opinions about romance as he was infamously arrested in 1995 after being caught with prostitute Divine Brown. On the subject of marriage, Grant added:
Wow, Hugh Grant has been through A LOT!
In a conversation with James Corden on Thursday night, Hugh opened up on a ton of topics including his "2007 breakdown" and his son's scary relationship with ghosts. Let's just say Mr. Grant has had a CRAZY past few years!
While we know the actor has struggled with a few things in his life (who could ever forget his infamous arrest in 1995), we had no idea there was once a time when he couldn't stop crying.
According to the father of four, he descended into "madness" after a trip to Maldives:
We smell another Oscar!
On Wednesday, Paramount Pictures released the official trailer for Meryl Streep's new film Florence Foster Jenkins!
In the biopic — directed by Stephen Frears –, the legendary actress plays a New York heiress who has aspirations to become an opera singer!
The only problem? She sucks at singing!
The comedy-drama also stars Hugh Grant and Simon Helberg. This flick will be hitting theatres August 12, 2016.
In the meantime, ch-ch-check out the trailer (above)!
Sing your way to another Oscar, girl!
But the 66-year-old will be singing a different tune in the upcoming biopic Florence Foster Jenkins… because she'll be playing an opera diva who was famous for her horrible singing ability!
The real life singer was known for having an army of fans, despite the fact that she was ridiculed for her lack of rhythm, pitch, and tone.
Plus, Hugh Grant will playing Florence's partner and manager St. Clair Bayfield — who tried to protect Florence from the truth that even though the voice she heard in her head was beautiful, to everyone else it was hilariously awful!
