Now that Mockingjay: Part 2 is on Blu-Ray, the final installment of the Hunger Games franchise has officially come to an end!

While it might seem all that's left of the franchise seems to be a hoard of knock-off dystopian YA films that are less-and-less impressive as time goes on, that's not all the series leaves behind!

Between Jennifer Lawrence's portrayal of Katniss Everdeen — along with Josh Hutcherson 's Peeta and Liam Hemsworth's Gale — audiences will remember their names forever!

The hit series has also introduced MANY characters over the span of three books and four films whose names are, well, less memorable…

Happy World Book Day!

We love a good read — but not every book translates to the big screen!

While some Young Adult books become critically acclaimed box office smashes, some get a bit… what's the word… terrible! Ha!

The Hunger Games is an obvious high — though it kind of fell off toward the end… and Divergent and Percy Jackson have both gotten mixed reviews.

Find out which franchise was the absolute best adaptation — and which were so bad they never became a "series" at all…

The Purge 3 Celebrates Election Year With A New Trailer — PLUS 10 More Movies That Have Their Own Holiday!

| Filed under: Film FlickersHunger GamesScary!Star Wars

Centering around a world where all crime — including murder — is legal for 12 hours each year, The Purge makes the Hunger Games look like child's play!

But that might change in Purge 3: Election Year, because Senator Charlene Roan (Elizabeth Mitchell) is a frontrunner in the Presidential election due to her vow to eliminate the annual Purge!

In the trailer (above), the Senator is betrayed on the night of what should be the last and final Purge — and forced to survive the night on the perilous streets with her head of security Leo Barnes (Frank Grillo)!

We're glad SOMEONE is finally trying to put an end to the fictional holiday, which in the movie is commemorated on March 21!

This socio-political horror franchise isn't the only one to have it's own holiday — Star Wars and Back To The Future are a just a couple more titles on our list…
