After appearing on season 7 of America’s Got Talent, the singer was asked to sing the National Anthem at Game 3 of the NBA Finals in San Antonio.
De La Cruz is a proud mariachi singer and wore his usual uniform for his performance. This made people on Twitter go crazy, hurling racial remarks at the child and using the hashtag #GoHome.
But he handled it like a pro, and bravely RETURNED to sing the Anthem for Game 4!
Jason Mraz has joined a charity 5k, and will run it to help others in need! He and TONS of other people will be in San Pedro, CA on Saturday for a run and CrossFit competition that benefits Life Rolls On (LRO).
LRO enables 'individuals with spinal cord injury to experience the rush of riding a wave with the assistance of adaptive surfboards and volunteers.'

Nobody had any idea that Mitch was going to come out during his speech, not even his mom and dad. But when he broke the news, he was met with nothing but love. Afterwards, Mitch told reporters:
"I've received so much support and kindness. Knowing that [everyone] found the speech inspirational has been really amazing."
We’re THRILLED that Mitch is being accepted by his family and friends, especially considering he hails from the usually ultra-conservative state of Texas.
