The Fargo actress and the 31-year-old actor met on the set of 2011's On the Road, and made their first official appearance together in January 2012.

The 33-year-old blonde beauty previously dated Jake Gyllenhaal and Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell.

In 2013, Hedlund told Details about the couple's first date:

"I took her out on a 3 a.m. canoe ride… It was not a stable canoe. We fell out and had to swim back in mucky, s–tty water, like golf-pond water."

Another one bites the dust!

Jake Gyllenhaal Opens Up On The Traumatic Loss Of Best Friend Heath Ledger

Jake Gyllenhaal is still grieving over Heath Ledger.

Eight years after Heath's untimely death, his Broke Back Mountain costar Jake spoke to People Magazine about the terrible tragedy. In addition to being costars, the two were also best friends and Gyllenhaal is even the godfather to Heath's daughter Matilda.

While J.G. admitted that he's still not able to speak about the loss "publicly" on a personal level, he did reveal how the horrible incident shaped his views of fame, celebrity, and his professional priorities.

Opening up on the experience just a few days after what would have been Ledger's 37th birthday, the actor explained:

"… I think I was at an age where mortality was not always clear to me. I think you live in this bubble, too, of making films … There are real friends, and there is a real community. There is also that Macklemore song where he says, 'The curtain closes and nobody notices' … I think that's true, and I think that's okay.
But I think at the time, I assumed everyone would notice – and they did with Heath dying, but I think it gave me the experience of, 'This is fleeting.' And none of the attention or synthesized love that comes from the success of a film really matters at all. What matters is the relationships you make when you make a film, and the people you learn from when you're preparing for a film. That changed a lot for me."

Considering Jake was only 27-years-old at the time of H.L.'s death, we can understand why "mortality" was hard for him to grasp. We're just glad to hear the Southpaw star was able to reshape his world view in effort to focus on what's really important in life — loved ones.

It will be interesting to see the 35-year-old play a grieving husband in his upcoming film Demolition. Hopefully the experience was cathartic for Jake.

Jimmy Fallon's late night games and sketches are mostly wacky and fun, but one we just can't wrap our minds around is Point Pleasant Police Department.

During the messy bit, Jimmy and another celeb pretend to recall a fictitious cop show they did called Point Pleasant Police Department about two cops who don't see eye to eye — and constantly spit food at each other.

Unfortunately on Monday night, Jake Gyllenhaal stopped by The Tonight Show and, as he does with all his roles, REALLY went ham.

In fact, we think Jimmy may be picking ham out of his eyelashes for a week. Talk about Ewwww!

John Oliver Reminds Us Just How Bad Hollywood's Whitewashing Problem Is On Last Week Tonight!

Amid the #OscarsSoWhite controversy, Hollywood is being put under the microscope for its lack of minority roles!

And on Sunday's Last Week Tonight, John Oliver pointed out that even when the roles do call for non-white characters, sometimes they are still played by white actors!

In another installment of "How Is This Still A Thing?", the HBO host broke down the history of whitewashing in Hollywood, calling out films all the way from the '60s to 2016 for casting white actors to play minority characters!

The segment reminded us of Mickey Rooney's racially insensitive portrayal of a Japanese man in Breakfast at Tiffany's, all the way to Emma Stone playing a half-Chinese pilot in Aloha.

But that's not all — the clip also called out the lily white Jake Gyllenhaal's titular role in Prince of Persia: Sands Of Time.

Even newer epics like Exodus: Gods and Kings and Gods of Egypt (which is in theaters now) both had middle eastern gods, kings, and heroes being played by white actors — because producers said it would be impossible to finance otherwise!

Ch-ch-check out the funny — but sad — clip (below) to see just how bad this problem is!
