Jared Leto

Despite reports last month, Jared Leto has NOT signed on to portray Hugh Hefner in the late Playboy founder's biopic — in fact, it was never official in the first place!

More so, the 45-year-old actor's rep says Jared will not be working with director-producer Brett Ratner in the future in light of the sexual harassment allegations against him.

A Hugh Hefner biopic has been in the works for the past 10 years. Now, all of the stars are aligning to actually get it made — well, one star in particular…

Jared Leto has signed on to portray the Playboy founder, who died late September at age 91, in an upcoming film from director-producer Brett Ratner.

Ratner, who will direct the film, revealed that Leto has been eyeing the role of the magazine honcho for quite some time, telling The Hollywood Reporter:

"Jared is an old friend. When he heard I got the rights to Hef's story, he told me, 'I want to play him. I want to understand him.' And I really believe Jared can do it. He's one of the great actors of today."

The Oscar winner may be a great choice to don the old silk robe, but he isn't the first actor set to play Hef on the big screen. In fact,

30 Seconds To Mars Brings Back Hypercolor With Experimental Walk On Water Performance At The 2017 MTV VMAs!

| Filed under: MTVMusic MinuteJared LetoVMAs

On the MTV VMAs red carpet, Jared Leto teased that his band's performance would utilize brand new technology.

Apparently that technology was infrared cameras?

30 Seconds To Mars performed Walk On Water with Travis Scott while looking like living hypercolor t-shirts from the '90s.

Only, they didn't look unique because of anything they were doing, they just let themselves be filmed with heat sensitive cameras. They didn't even do anything special with them. So who cares?

One Direction Fans Are The Reason Harry Styles Is Barely There In Dunkirk Trailers!

| Filed under: Music MinuteFilm FlickersJared LetoOne DirectionGIFsHarry StylesFandom Frenzy

Sorry, Directioners!

There was a reason why Harry Styles was hardly in the trailers for Dunkirk, but we have a feeling his One Direction fans aren't going to like it!

Christopher Nolan admitted he's trying to let them down easy when it comes time for them to see the film in theaters July 21:

"We're not trying to oversell Harry in the movie for the specific reason that it's an ensemble. We don't want people who are huge fans of his being disappointed that he's not in it enough."

It's a good point; you definitely don't want a Jared Leto Joker situation, in which a fan actually tried to sue Warner Bros because he was all over that Suicide Squad marketing.

Harry's fans shouldn't be too disappointed though; the famed director totally praised the solo singer's acting skills:

Jared Leto Is Being Sued By Penthouse!

Awww, yeah.

Jared Leto is being sued by Penthouse! Probably for never showing off that infamous "Praetorian guard's helmet" in the magazine's pages, right?

No, sadly, it's for something way less sexy — copyright infringement. And not even for the nudie mag.

The Suicide Squad star's Paradox LLC is being sued for using the trademark of OMNI, the science magazine founded by Penthouse's Bob Guccione in 1978. Apparently there have been reports Leto is planning a science fiction anthology using the name OMNI.

The lawsuit argues that the use of the OMNI trademark is to purposely confuse potential viewers who might recognize the name and assume association with the classic magazine, which ran science fiction stories until shutting down in 1998. Co-defendant Jerrick Media, with whom Leto is partnering, says the lawsuit is "without merit."

Without dick pics, def. Without merit? That may be tougher to prove…
