With Michael Strahan departing LIVE! this Friday, we're getting anxious to find out who Kelly Ripa chooses to be her new cohost!
Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper were early contenders to replace the future Good Morning America star but have backed down due to other hosting commitments.
And while other rumored frontrunner Jerry O'Connell admitted he has yet to be approached by the ABC morning program, he would definitely have a hard time turning the offer down!

Speaking at a press event on Monday for his upcoming role on Mistresses, the actor said it would be a "dream" to work next to Ripa every morning!
He told Us Weekly:
We knew it was too good to be true…
One of the best things to come out of this whole Live! with Kelly and Michael drama is that we get to speculate for weeks about who will be taking Michael Strahan's seat next to Kelly Ripa next month!
There have been rumors that Anderson Cooper, Jerry O'Connell, and Mario Lopez are currently the front-runners for the open spot, and now one of their biggest competitors has officially dropped out of the race.

Andy Cohen may be Kelly's best friend — he's already defended her against Disney and ABC, after all — but he's mostly known for being the face of Bravo.
But unfortunately for Real Housewives fans who wanted to see the Watch What Happens Live! host transition from late night to early morning, it doesn't sound like he'll be jumping ship any time soon!
The 47-year-old spoke to UsWeekly at the Below Deck: Mediterranean premiere on Thursday where he denied rumors that he'd be taking over for Michael, saying:
The whole drama surrounding Live with Kelly and Michael has almost been out of control ever since Michael Strahan announced he would be leaving!
Of course we know by now that Kelly Ripa was blindsided by the news and the blonde beauty decided to leave for vacation as a way of dealing with her frustration and stress.
Well Kelly did receive an apology from Disney and ABC for not letting her know about Strahan's exit first, but she was OBVIOUSLY still pretty pissed about the whole thing at her first show back yesterday.

One of the biggest surprises from the former soap opera star's return though was that the show announced Michael would no longer be leaving in September, but rather his last Live show would be May 13 — four months early!
While this sounds like the network trying to make up for their mistakes, an insider revealed to Us Weekly that Kelly is still "talking about leaving."
The insider went on to reveal that even though Jerry O'Connell is being considered, Ripa

It seems as though another stage parent may be making their presence known in Hollywood. While promoting JCPenney's new Get Your Penney's Worth campaign this week, Jerry O'Connell revealed that only one of his twins daughters is eager to follow in his acting footsteps.

The former child star dished:
"My children had to audition for [High School Musical at their school]. I had one child who did audition and I had another child who would not audition. I could not get her in there. It's pretty crazy how quickly I became a stage father."
HIGHlarious! In case you forgot, the Jerry Maguire actor has twin girls, Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip, with wife Rebecca Romijn.
Though it appears he'd like both of his kiddos to pursue theatre, Jerry isn't going to force their hand. He added:
Hot momma alert!
Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell low-key might have two of the best bodies in the game — and not just for parents of twins!
