Seinfeld Bombs! The Marriage Ref Returns With Poor Ratings

seinfelds the marriage ref bombs

Can't win 'em all, Jerry!

Last night, NBC's Jerry Seinfeld produced reality series The Marriage Ref returned with numbers MUCH lower than its 2010 premiere.

The premiere, which was 20% down from last year's finale episode, scored a 1.6 rating in adults 18-49. Ouch.

Might be time to start thinking about pursuing another project, Jer!

Did U tune in for The Marriage Ref's season premiere? Do U think this show is on its way out?

Jerry Seinfeld Still Loves Donald Trump

Despite their feud that arose after Donald Trump began spouting his Obama birth certificate allegations, causing Jerry Seinfeld to cancel an appearance at Trump's son's charity event, the comedian says he still loves him.

Aww! Isn't that sweet? Ha!

When asked about the feud, Jerry told Extra:

"Let me say this about Donald Trump. I love Donald Trump, all comedians love Donald Trump. If God gave comedians the power to invent people, the first person we would invent is Donald Trump… God's gift to comedy."

LOLz! Sounds like Jerry likes Donald more as a punch line, than a poker buddy, but we're glad to see he's taken the entire incident in stride.

Check out Jerry Seinfeld telling it like it is above!

Do U think Donald Trump is God's gift to comedy?

Bret Michaels NOT Happy With Jerry Seinfeld Too!

Bret Is Against Jerry Too

Bret Michaels is also speaking out against Jerry Seinfeld for pulling out of a charity event for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital because he didn't want to be associated with Trump's ever focused mission to get Barack Obama to show his birth certificate.

While we agree with Bret that nothing should get in the way of helping kids who need it, absolutely, we feel that if Jerry deemed it necessary to back down that he did it in a very proper way — by making contributions to both the charity and the hospital!

If it HAS to be done, making sure to help the kids in some way will always be the best course of action. There is no need for all this animosity!

Here's what Bret said:

“Donald Trump and his family have been wonderful to me and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital is one of my favorite charities, so I’m honored to have been asked by Eric and the rest of the Trump family to be a part of this event and help raise money for such an admirable cause. We should never allow the spirit generosity to be overshadowed by divisive political beliefs — and when it comes to saving the life of a child, there is absolutely no room for political rhetoric and red tape. Regardless of political views, the only thing that should matter is the lives of these children and their families, so I’m eager to offer my assistance to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in any way that I can.”

That was actually really well said, Bret, but we can't still but help to feel that because of his contributions in his stead that everyone shouldn't be all that mad at him. He could have been a waaaay bigger jerk about it!

Maybe that's just us!

How do U feel about this situation??

Trump Is NOT Happy With Jerry Seinfeld

Trump Complaining About Jerry

This is pretty harsh, Donald, just because Jerry doesn't want to align himself with this obsession you have with Obama's birth certificate!

So Jerry Seinfeld was scheduled to perform at a benefit headed up by Donald's son Eric Trump. It was for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, but he canceled.

The thing is, we'd be upset too if he let down a bunch of sick kids, but Seinfeld respectfully pulled out of the gig and is donating to the cause in place of performing. That sounds like the classy way to do it, especially if you're not keen with Trump's political missions.

But this pissed Donald off, and here's what he said:

"I just learned you canceled a show for my son's charity because of the fact that I am being very aggressive with respect to President Obama, who is doing an absolutely terrible job as our leader.

"We don't care that you broke your commitment even though the children of St. Jude are very disappointed, and despite the fact that your manager clearly stated you are 'truly a man of his word.' What I do feel badly about is that I agreed to do, and did, your failed show, 'The Marriage Ref,' even though I thought it was absolutely terrible . . . Despite its poor ratings, I didn't cancel on you like you canceled on my son and St. Jude. I only wish I did.

"You should be ashamed of yourself!"

Come on, Donald, that's not very mature. Especially if you actually think you're going to have a bid in this next Presidential election.

Bret Michaels will be taking Jerry's place, and we're sure it'll all end up being just fine!

Do U think Donald crossed a line??

Piers Doesn't Think You Are "Romantic" Enough, Jerry

piers-morgan-rags-on-jerry-seinfeld.jpg

All because you aren't swept up in the magic and wonderment that is the upcoming royal wedding, an event that has the entire world buzzing with glee and excitement.

Can you imagine that???

Earlier in the week, Jerry Seinfeld was crackin' wise on Prince William's upcoming marriage to Kate Middleton. He called the royal wedding a game of "dress-up" and insisted he had no idea what all the fuss was over the wedding. Piers Morgan got wind of Jerry's comments and as a proud Brit, he had a few to shoot back! He said:

"He's just jealous because he doesn't have a royal family in this country. He wants one. He's obviously lost all touch with his romantic side."

Damn straight! It's time to get onboard with hoopla, Jerry! (Or at least come up with some better jokes as we assume you were just poking fun at the Prince and his bride in jest! Just saying!)

Jerry Seinfeld Poo-Poos The Royal Wedding

jerry-seinfeld-royal-wedding-problem.jpg

NBC may be gearing up big time for Prince William's upcoming nuptials, but one of their biggest stars isn't as impressed with the whole shindig like the rest of the world.

Jerry Seinfeld appeared on the UK morning show Daybreak this week to promote his upcoming show at the O2 and of course, the topic of the royal wedding came up. Suprisingly, Jerry had a lot to say about it…in the form of criticism for the hoopla over what he calls a "circus act." Jerry held nothing back when explaining his point of you on the William and Kate Middleton's impending wedding, saying:

"You know, it’s a dress-up. It’s a classic English thing of let's play dress-up. Let’s pretend that these are special people. OK, we’ll all pretend that – that’s what theatre is. That’s why the British have the greatest theatre in the world. They love to dress up and they love to play pretend. And that’s what the Royal Family is – it’s a huge game of pretend. These aren’t special people - it’s fake outfits, fake phoney hats and gowns."

Uh, easy there, Jerry. You are in their country, after all!

Maybe he's just bitter he didn't get invited! Is that it, Jer?!

Judge Dismisses Wacky Lawsuit Against Jerry Seinfeld

Jerry Seinfeld lawsuit dismissed

A lawsuit filed against comedian Jerry Seinfeld in 2007 by Missy Chase Lapine, an author of a series of Sneaky Chef cookbooks, has been thrown out by a New York City judge.

Missy's suit claimed Jerry had damaged her reputation during a 2007 interview on Late Show with David Letterman when he called her a "wacko" for accusing his wife, Jessica Seinfeld, of plagiarizing her idea for a kid-centric healthy cookbook.

The judge dismissed the case today, saying it was clear Seinfeld was joking and citing the comedian’s first amendment rights.

Shocker!

Sounds like Missy was trying to sneak some of Jerry's millions out from underneath his fork.
