Jessica Chastain essentially proved this as she arrived with gilded flair to the Fashion Institute of Technology Gala in NYC on Monday night.
The actress took a risk in a one-shoulder, ruched Lanvin frock, which benefitted from her superior ability to breathe life into pretty much any garment.
Sure, the shoes are kinda heavy, and we would've preferred a more delicate sandal, but look at that perfect face and sleek hair!
It just doesn't feel right to complain about anything!

Jessica Chastain bundled up for a rainy boat ride in Venice with Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo. But we're guessing she didn't need too many layers because he probably kept his lovely lady plenty warm.
Unfortunately, it looks like the romance was short-lived because, based on those suitcases, the boat ride might have just been for travel.
But that's okay, we're sure they were probably able to sneak in a few kisses under some bridges!
