Jillian Michaels will define herself, thank you very much!
In a recent Q&A with PrideSource, Jillian dished on her new reality show Just Jillian and on important issues surrounding her lesbian identity. In fact, the trainer got super candid on derogatory terms used to describe the LGBT community.
Speaking on the hurtful terms "fag" and "dyke", Michaels explained:
"What's interesting is, I take a very African-American-using-the-"n-word" approach with those terms. I've claimed them all. I use "homo" and joke about it. I use "dyke" and joke about it. My gay male friends and I use "fag" and joke about it. We've taken them all back and made them our own."
Makes sense. It's good to hear J.M. taking a proactive and positive approach to a negative situation.
Of course, there are people who think "reclaiming" is more hurtful than it is helpful.
The drama all started when popular beauty blogger Shannon Harris posted a side by side of her eyeshadow kit next to Jenner's. Harris simply captioned the shot with a sassy "drinking tea" emoji to imply some MAJOR shade.
If you look closely at the two kits (above)!, it's hard to deny the similar packaging and colors of the products. The only differences between the two are in price and the amount of product.
While K.J.'s palette is a whopping $42 bucks, the makeup guru's is $22 dollars. Not to mention Shannon's eyeshadow palette also includes pans of lip product on the back.
Hmm... so essentially the gorgeous gal's palette is a better deal? You don't say!
Following the shady tweet, fans flooded social media with their own opinions on the scandal, most of which were heavily in Shannon's favor:
