We know something is coming at Sunday's VMAs...
...and now we have a better idea of exactly what that might be!
Kelly shared a similar sentiment, and was reportedly unhappy that E! decided to revamp the show after the comedian died.
But, the 30-year-old is ecstatic that Melissa will be working her way out from behind the camera into the spotlight, saying:
E! postponed new episodes of Fashion Police until September, so everyone's wondering what will become of the smack-talk show.
With the tragic passing of Joan Rivers last year, Giuliana Rancic's controversial Zendaya comments, and Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin both walking off the show, no one's really sure what the future holds for the popular program.
Well, rumors are swirling now that Melissa Rivers wants to follow in her mother's footsteps and be a host for the show!
Sources speculate the 47-year-old wants Joan's legacy to live on:
"Melissa is saying that she is going to host the show. No one understands the show more than she does and this is what her mother would want."
Melissa already plays her part of Executive Producer, so it'll be interesting to see if she makes the jump in front of the camera!

Oh the shade!!
On Tuesday, Melissa Rivers sat down with Hoda Kotb at the 92nd Street Y to discuss her book The Book of Joan: Tales of Mirth, Mischief, and Manipulation — and it seems she had a lot to say about Kathy Griffin!
When asked about her mom Joan Rivers' replacement on Fashion Police, Melissa had no problem pulling out the shade.
Sometimes a diss is just a misunderstanding.
Joan was famous banned from NBC's The Tonight Show by Jay's predecessor, Johnny Carson, after she launched a rival show on FOX. During Jay's 20+ year late night run, Joan was never invited (though Jimmy Fallon eventually ask her back).
Melissa says she was dissed by Jay at event just months after Joan's death:
"My mother passed in September, and I was asked to speak at The Hollywood Reporter Women in Entertainment breakfast at the beginning of December, so it was very fresh … I walk in, and I'm standing, having a coffee in the reception area, and Jay…looks right at me, and looks away."
Melissa thought he would approach her and offer his condolences:
"It would have been closure, and it would have been the right thing to do."
In an EXCLUSIVE statement to PerezHilton.com, Jay's rep says it was all a misunderstanding:
This is just so sad!
It hasn't been very long since Joan Rivers passed away, but the thought of how it all happened is hard to comprehend.
In a sit down with Matt Lauer on the Today show which airs on Monday morning, the 47-year-old believes her mother's death could've been avoided.
"In my opinion, it was 100 percent preventable."
The journalist went on to ask Melissa what she thought the clinic could've done to prevent Joan's death and she responded with:
Can you believe it's been eight months since Joan Rivers passed away?
While her memory lives on in many ways through the legacy she's left behind, Melissa Rivers reveals she tries not to think about how long it has been since her mother passed away from surgery complications.
The 47-year-old told revealed:
"I never let myself imagine life without her. Why would I want to?
So how does she deal with the fact that the legendary comedian isn't around anymore? By writing a book!
In The Book of Joan: Tales of Mirth, Mischief and Manipulation, Melissa pays tribute to her mom by recalling all of their memories together.
