We still aren't buying Joaquin Phoenix's attempt at hip-hop stardom!

The poor-man's Andy Kaufman performed in Miami Beach last night, Wednesdat, and it was a more than memorable performance for the crowd, of course.

A bearded Phoenix took the stage around 2 a.m. at LIV nightclub in the Fontainebleau hotel, mumbling his rhymes to the beat, when an audience member began to heckle the former actor turned rapper. Joaquin didn't miss a beat!

"We have a (double-expletive) in the audience," Phoenix informed the crowd before hopping off the stage to confront the heckler!

Security were all over that bitch in a second, dragging the fuming rapper out of the nightclub and immediately ending the show!

Conveniently, Casey Affleck's cameras were rolling during the entire event.

A rep for actor-turned-musician Joaquin Phoenix is super pissed that a Chicago-based psychiatrist/author called the bearded-one possibly 'schizophrenic' in an LA Times interview.

The head doctor, Paul Dobransky, pointed to Phoenix's "socially inappropriate behavior" (i.e. new 'rap' career, bushy beard and his bizarre appearance on David Letterman's show). The doc said, "The jury is not exactly in on what is happening. Whatever it is, it's not funny — whether it's drug abuse, mental illness coming on or the clumsiest attempt ever at a career change."

Phoenix's rep reprimanded the doc in an interview with MTV, saying, "How absolutely inappropriate for a doctor who has no personal interaction or relationship with someone to diagnose them. And to do so in a public forum. Hope they spelled his name right. Another 15-minute 'expert' is born!"

Why won't the rep just come clean?

Joaquin's NOT schizo and this is all one big joke, right?

Even though we're sure it's an elaborate hoax, Joaquin Phoenix is insisting that his burgeoning rap "career" is totally legit.

In an interview promoting his last film ever - Two Lovers with Gwyneth Paltrow - Phoenix said he doesn't know where the "art project" rumors originated.

He added, "Might I be ridiculous? Might my career in music be laughable? Yeah, that's possible, but that's certainly not my intention."

He then confirmed his delusions of grandeur be expressing regret over the video of his first stunning performance, saying that "It sucks that, yeah, the footage is out there as like this incredibly bad sound, and you literally can't hear what's happening. It was much better in the club, and I don't know who said that people were booing … because that was not happening."

He claims that "dudes" came up after the show to give him props.

What a beautiful imaginary world Joaquin inhabits! The beautiful world of Bye! Good!

We previously mentioned how earlier this month actor turned "rapper" Joaquin Phoenix gave a shiteous performance at a nightclub in Las Vegas.

We also mentioned how Phoenix had been acting like a total diva, bitching at people and even storming off while working on his documentary with Casey Affleck.

Both times we thought, and hoped, he was joking. And, now, as expected, we find out it really might all be a hoax.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that two of Phoenix's friends have come forward to explain the situation.

Says one source who recently worked with Joaquin, "He said, 'It's a put-on. I'm going to pretend to have a meltdown and change careers, and Casey is going to film it."

Though he won't admit to any of it right now.

Says a source, "It's an art project for him. He's going full out. He probably has told his reps that he's quit acting. Joaquin is very smart. This is very conscious. He has a huge degree of control."

This art project sure is lame!

Believe it or not, "retired" actor Joaquin Phoenix has decided to become a rapper. And he swears it's not a joke!

The "musician" even performed at Lavo in Las Vegas on Friday night and it was truly AWFUL! Check out the clips HERE.

In the second video he was so out of it that he completely falls and eats the floor as he tries to walk off stage.

And, now, new reports reveal that Phoenix was acting like a total biyatch that evening!

Reports are that the "rapper" threw a fit before his shiteous performance on Friday.

A source says "He was waiting for Casey Affleck and when the film crew arrived late, Joaquin flipped out."

Afleck is directing a documentary about Joaquin's new career for some reason.

The source adds that Phoenix yelled at the crew, "Thanks for being late and fucking everything up."

That's when he threw a CD on the floor and then stormed out of there. He then "came back five minutes later and did the sound check. Nobody can tell if he is for real or if this is all a big joke."

Judging by his performance last week, we're hoping it better be a joke!

Joaquin Phoenix has "retired" from acting and is trying his hand as a rapper now.

The actor hip hop wannabe performed at Lavo in Las Vegas on Friday night and it was a DISASTER!

Sooooo bad!

Check out his painful rapping in the first (top) video, and in the bottom video he's so out of it that he completely falls and eats the floor as he tries to walk off stage.

This smells like some Borat-type shit!

For his sake, he better be pranking us all or else he must be on some serious drugs.
