Well, well, well!

We guess that all the pAArtying we've seen Robert Pattinson been doing without his girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, by his side is for a reason!

The pair, who have been said to be recovering from a recent rough patch following the actor's extended time in Australia filming The Rover, have appeared much happier as of late, and according to sources, it's because KStew FINALLY chilled out and is giving him the space to spend time with friends SOLO!

And although she's stamping her feet a bit, it appears to be paying off!

The masterful actor from the The Master strolled shoeless through Venice with his lover Heather Christie on Tuesday, and we cannot help but wonder…

What the HECK was he thinking?

We've heard of walking the beach barefoot before, becoming one with the earth as the sand slips between your toes and all that jazz, but this is cray cray!

A parking lot in Venice?!

You could step on a dirty needle!

Regardless, Heather, Joaquin, and the funky stuff growing on his face do seem happy!

We just pray they wash those feet before getting into bed, LOLz!!

Honestly, everyone knew that Daniel Day-Lewis would win the Oscar for Best Actor, simply because he was nominated!!

LOLz!

Still, he went up against some of the toughest competition — Hugh Jackman for Les Miserables, Denzel Washington for Flight, Bradley Cooper in Silver Linings Playbook and Joaquin Phoenix for The Master!!

Daniel Day-Lewis is a mind-blowing professional, and we absolutely agree that he deserved it!

In the end, though, we called it… even if everyone else did too! Ha!

Joaquin Phoenix has pretty much made it clear that he despises the celebrity culture and what he perceives to be ego-stroking, entitled accolades that currently encapsulate the profession of acting - and because of this, even went as far as to proclaim that the Oscars are "bullsh*t!"

So it's really no surprise to us that upon winning the title of Best Actor from the London Critics' Circle, for his work in The Master, the actor would use the opportunity in his acceptance speech to speak out against a culture that limits the scope and influence of his performance to exclusively him, and instead thanked his co-stars and director for their contributions to his work… as well as the normally and largely unrecognized crew members, without whom there would be no finished product!

He says:

Congrats… again!!

Daniel Day-Lewis JUST took home the Critics' Choice Award for Best Actor, Thursday. And noooow he's getting ANOTHER statue??

It's almost not fair. Almost.

Truth be told, DDL totally killed as Lincoln. He absolutely deserves the Golden Globe this year — and the odds are he'll win it again next year!

His fellow nominees shouldn't even bother showing up to the Oscars, LOLz!

Your The Critics' Choice for Best Actor is….. Daniel Day-Lewis!!

DUH! Do you really think he wasn't gonna win?

First of all, he's DDL — he wins EVERYTHING! Secondly, he was playing a president, aaaand that president was Abraham Lincoln!! Who doesn't love that guy??

His fellow nominees — Bradley Cooper, John Hawkes, Hugh Jackman, Joaquin Phoenix, and Denzel Washington — didn't have a freak'n chance!

Congrats Danny! All joking aside, you TOTALLY deserve it!

Andddddddd his chances for taking home an Academy Award for his critically acclaimed performance in The Master just plummeted! LOLz!

Joaquin Phoenix doesn't care though, which is kind of admirable. The actor — who made his glorious return to the screen in September after a failed rapping career mockumentary –believes Hollywood's highest honor is "total, utter bullsh*t."

He made his opinion known during a recent interview with highly respected film critic Elvis Mitchell for Interview magazine and explained his position by saying:

"I think it's bulls–t. I think it's total, utter bulls–t, and I don't want to be a part of it. I don't believe in it. It's a carrot, but it's the worst-tasting carrot I've ever tasted in my whole life. I don't want this carrot. It's totally subjective. Pitting people against each other … It's the stupidest thing in the whole world."

Is it really? Or is he just bitter because he was nominated for Walk the Line and lost?

If we take him at his word, then yes, the award really is stupid and he thought so long before he had his chance to take one home. Phoenix revealed he felt "uncomfortable" when he was nominated while continuing:

"It was one of the most uncomfortable periods of my life when Walk the Line was going through all the awards stuff and all that. I never want to have that experience again. I don't know how to explain it — and it's not like I'm in this place where I think I'm just above it — but I just don't ever want to get comfortable with that part of things."

After every Academy voter finds out just how much he despises the Oscars, then maybe he won't. Still, we kinda hope he does because in our minds, talent deserves to be rewarded!
