Joaquin Phoenix Goes Back On Letterman

Check out clips (above) from Joaquin's Wednesday night appearance on Letterman.

We still can't get used to not-crazy Joaquin Phoenix! We don't know if we'll ever be able to fully adjust to his return to normalcy.

Do U prefer crazy Joaquin or normal Joaquin?

Joaquin Phoenix Documentary Isn't Going To Make Any Money Real

joaquinphoenixjle.jpg

Say it ain't so, Casey Affleck! Say it ain't so!

Looks like this is a week of closure for Affleck. First, he settles his sexual harassment lawsuits, and now he's finally admitted to the world what we already knew:

The Joaquin Phoenix Documentary, I'm Still Here, is fake!

Even Joaquin's bizarre Late Show With David Letterman interview was staged. Here's what a writer from the show, Bill Scheft, had to say about it:

"That was all an act… Think Andy Kaufman without shaving. That’s what he was doing. And Dave knew about it and Dave loved it because he could play along. He could do whatever he wanted with it. And he did, and it was great television. But I will take credit for the line, 'I think I owe Farrah Fawcett an apology.' I gave that to him during the break."

Guess we've gotta give credit where credit is due. Admittedly, there were a few points where we weren't even sure what the deal was with this movie…BUT now we know and the magic is gone.

Good Night Crazy Joaquin Phoenix, and flights of Afflecks sing thee to thy rest!

Will U still see I'm Still Here, now that U know it's all a hoax?

Casey Affleck Settles Sexual Harassment Cases

Now he can just focus on the crazy that is Joaquin Phoenix.

This morning, we got word that Casey Affleck has reached a settlement with the two women who accused him of sexual harassment while working on his new documentary. Considering that each woman wanted no less than $2 million a piece, we imagine it had to be some settlement.

In a statement, Affleck's lawyer said the disputes "have been resolved to the mutual satisfaction of the parties".

Somehow and for some people, money does heal all wounds.

Joaquin Phoenix Returning To Letterman

Joaquin Phoenix provided us with one of the best moments on television in 2009 (above), and we can’t wait to see what he does this time around.

Phoenix will appear on Letterman on September 22 to promote his new documentary, I’m Still Here, which is about his attempt at becoming a hip-hop musician. It’s directed by Casey Affleck.

We can’t wait!

What do U think will happen this time?

Zombies Win!

residentevil.jpg

Resident Evil: Afterlife was the obvious winner at the box office this weekend.

The Milla Jovovich zombie flick opened at the number one spot with $27.7 million.

It was a record debut for the videogame-based franchise as it had the best opening ever among the Resident Evil films, as well as one of the best openings on a post-Labor Day weekend. No doubt, the film's 3D prices contributed to the high figure.

Takers came in second, while The American, Machete, and Going the Distance rounded out the top five.

As for Joaquin Phoenix's documentary I'm Still Here, people didn't seem to care about whether or not the film is a hoax or not. Opening in 20 theaters in 18 cities, it made a measly $98,000.

What did U see this weekend??

Sources are reporting that Joaquin Phoenix has cut the publicity stunt bullshit may be giving up his 'music' career and has been holding meetings for a variety of film projects!

He's apparently in talks to play Thomas Wolfe in Sean Penn's new movie, Genius, and is officially attached to be in the flick Big Shoe, directed by Steven Shainberg!

Inneresting!

Let's hope whatever he's been on the past few years hasn't killed his ability his act!

Joaquin Phoenix Impostor On The Loose!

joaquinse.jpg

This menace must be stopped! We've posted a photo (above) with the real Joaquin Phoenix on the upper left, surrounded by a few people we think are solid suspects.

A Joaquin Phoenix Impostor has been reportedly making red carpet appearances at the Toronto International Film Festival, and he's been doing it in style.

According to Phoenix's PR team, the Impostor has been arriving at venues by limo with a "massive entourage of security and scantily clad female groupies."

If this is all a hoax, it's a damn elaborate one, not to mention a damn fun one, and we are impressed!

What are your thoughts on the Joaquin Phoenix Impostor?
