As y'all know, Joaquin Phoenix has said "Bye! Good" to acting and hello to the world of music.

Well, Ben Affleck's little brother, Casey Affleck has been following Joaquin on his latest journey.

The younger Affleck is directing a documentary feature on Phoenix, who's embarking on a career as a rapper.

Joaquin's album is apparently set to be produced by Diddy and he's scheduled to make his first public performance Friday at Las Vegas club Lavo, which will officially kick off Affleck's production.

Quick! Someone call Daddy Spears!

Actor-turned-musician Joaquin Phoenix was spotted pAArtying in Miami looking a little worse for the wear.

After a 2005 rehab stint (Everybody's doing it!), the former actor is said to have suffered a fairly upsetting 2008, and his increasingly strange and aloof behavior has family, friends, and colleagues worried. He skipped out on the Cannes premiere of his last flick, Two Lovers, with co-star Gwynnie Paltrow and has acted bizarrely at recent events.

A source says, "For people who know Joaquin, it's been an incredibly traumatic year, filled with chaos," adding, "Everyone wants to help but nobody's been able to break through. His bizarre behaviour has everyone worried. It's just getting scary."

Joaquin was at brother Rivers' side when the actor famously collapsed outside the Viper Room and later died of a drug overdose at the tender age of 23.

Could Joaquin be headed down the same path?

Get some help! Or get Papa Spears!

It seems like friends of 'retired' actor, Joaquin Phoenix, are worried about the now musician.

As we mentioned earlier, Phoenix made the announcement he was quitting film to concentrate on a music career last week at a Paul Newman memorial in San Francisco.

Phoenix was said to be "out of it" at the event.

And according to reports, while other actors were busy performing scenes, Joaquin just got up and decided to walk out.

A source says, Phoenix then "wobbled back in a bit later, but it was odd. He was slurring his words and was unsteady on his feet."

Could it be drugs?????

As for Phoenix's rep, he says Phoenix is fine. "He just wants to focus on music, and he'll be at the screening of his film 'Two Lovers' on Saturday night in LA, and he's directed a number of music videos over the past couple of years."

Right.

We just have two words for Joaquin, "Bye!, Good".

The newly retired actor, self proclaimed 'musician', Joaquin Phoenix tried hard and failed to be clever at the AFI Fest in LA on Saturday.

Is "Bye! Good" music speak for Good Bye?

Or is he dyslexic?

Or just plain stoopid???

At a Paul Newman benefit on Monday, Joaquin Phoenix dropped quite the bomb on the TV show Extra:

"I want to take this opportunity… also to give you the exclusive and just talk a little bit about the fact that this will be my last performance as an actor… I'm not doing films anymore."

"Extra's" Jerry Penacoli, shocked by the news, further probed Joaquin. "Are you serious?" Phoenix, who was curiously being followed by his own camera crews, reiterated, "Yeah. I'm working on my music. I'm done. I've been through that."

Actor Casey Affleck, present during the admission, tells "Extra", "I don't think he's kidding. He's got music and stuff."

We mentioned a few months back that Phoenix was working on an album.

Guess it's very, very 'serious' stuff.

When his rep was contacted about Phoenix's proclamation, their response was, "That is what he told me."

Whatever. We have a funny feeling it's going to play out like this…

He'll release his 'music', no one will buy his stuff, and then he'll make a big deal out of his 'acting' comeback.

Thespians are so overly dramatic!

Sucks to be sick!

Joaquin Phoenix missed the Cannes Film Festival premiere of his movie, Two Lovers, because of a nasty stomach flu, according to his rep.

The actor was all set to go to France, but he was so beat-down by a stomach flu that he had to go to a hospital to rehydrate.

Hope he's feeling better!

Gwyneth is probably happy she didn't have to share the spotlight!

Oscar nominated actor Joaquin Phoenix is coming out with an album.

Yes…it's another actor morphing into a 'musician'.

Why??????

It didn't work for Scarlett Johansson. It didn't work for Minnie Driver or Kevin Bacon or Billy Bob Thornton or Gina Gershon or….the list goes on and on.

Why must you do this to us Joaquin?????

Apparently, Phoenix got the calling after he learned to play the guitar for the Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line.

Does that mean we can expect to see something from Reese Witherspoon soon?

Phoenix has been working with Britpop star Tim Burgess , the Charlatans frontman.

A release date has not been determined.

For Phoenix's sake, let's hope the album is as good as his acting. But it will probably suck!
